You always fall over using the shortcut route, seems like a glitch and they didnt program it properly. GTA Series Videos took a diff shortcut but still falls over in the gold medal guide.

Quick tip to catch the kid fast when the running starts equip you lasso then Un equip and your run speed will be normal, then when cleet is about to go into the tram make a right turn to tackle him before he gets in.

Javier one is a pretty known detail at this point. One thing I just noticed however is how clearly conflicted he seems even before they start "picking sides". At 3:32 it even kinda looks symbolic, how he is in the middle of the two groups forcibly but gradually getting in place so as to not get on Dutch's bad side either. A small thing I noticed on the handcar guys, their cloth seems to have been animated rather than using physics, just to add some extra flair to the scene. At 6:50 once you cut a bit later on, both their "cloth flap" animations are disabled as the scene has supposedly finished by then. The part with the thief chase I didn't know at all, very nice to see there's an alternative. Game keeps on giving.

A cool thing I realised is on the mission when you rob cornwalls train at the start of the game while riding there with the gang in one of the cutscenes you can see Micah and dutches fort highlighted on the sunrise 🤔

The outhouse guy being in Micah's gang isn't impossible. When Arthur runs into Micah, Micah mentions he was on bad terms with the gang and was hiding out there in the snow until he found something to redeem himself.

Hey Strange Man, i know you probably mostly play story mode but theres a little mysterie that i don't think anyone solved it, theres a old man that appears at your camp sometimes, he says some vague stuff about him, asks for meat then leaves. Im sure folk already asked you to look into it, most people i see just say they kill him and move on but i think there a cool little mysterie here.

You don’t need to take shortcuts to catch the kid. I tackled him first try on my second play through right after he got off the wagon. Idk how I did it but I did. It involves going to the right a bit I think.

The kid wasn't the secret, its taking the shortcut and having that cut scene instead of the one you see when you follow him the regular way.

@@SewnForSolitude dude that Shortcut is one of the ways you can get him, and that cutscene always happen when you catch him. If you are doing the goldrush trophie you surely want to do this mission because it is easy and catching the boy is on of the objectives... so yeah that is no secret

I’m always Happy to check these mysteries from rdr1 vs RdR2 but rockstar forgot that the rdr1 was for PS3 ... And is a pity that they didn’t made rdr1 for the PS4 I think it’s not that difficult to make , better than the online updates for sure ......

If they remake RDR1, which I hope they do, I think they should change Javier and make him show sorrow and regret for his descisions and also less of an asshole. So that he either tries to make it up to John and rekindles their friendship or maybe even sacrifices himself for him in one way or another to keep is relatively close to the original plot. I'd also like if they'd show either Sadie or Charles taking care of Jack after Abigail died and teaching him to fight and survive. And I think they also should change John's hat into Arthur's hat. Btw: I think Rockstar should've made it that way from the start. So that the hat he has been wearing in 1 the whole time was actually the one that belonged to Arthur, that would've made that moment when he gave him his hat even more powerful and would also mean that Jack wears Arthur's hat in the end. But they gave Arthur a different hat and missed that opportunity.

I'm replaying RDR2 and I got to that mission and since my horse ACTUALLY bucked me when I got really close to the team, I figured you couldn't catch him (The kid) even though I thought when I played the mission for the first time ever, I thought I had caught him by outsmarting the game and tackling him down after he jumped off the rooftops. Since I got thrown I was thinking Wtf? So you can't catch his ugly, shootable ass. But then on my second try I caught him at the point where he jumps off the train, before he got through the first arch. So yeah. He's very catchable. Just steal the brown horse that will probably be next to your horse in front of the bar and whip it. I didn't really do anything special neither, I didn't go on the sidewalk, didn't take a shortcut. Just gallop as fast as possible and don't fall and you can catch him easily, quick.
