That’s amazing!🤗 I wish I had that with my parents. I come from a HIGHLY religious, traditionally Christian family & my dad is a pastor of a church along with my mom, my oldest sister married a pastor & helps him run his church, my other sister runs a Christian school along with my mom & my two brothers are both heavily involved with the ministries at their churches.... I’m the on my one in my whole family who has walked away from that & I find myself constantly hiding my charms, tarot decks, green witch books, & having to filter myself so much. I showed interest once when I was 13. I went to the library & checked out a book of stories & spells, but my mom saw me checking it out at the counter & absolutely FLIPPED OUT. She cried all the way home while lecturing me & then when they found a similar book in my room, my parents both sat me down to proclaim that witchcraft is evil in every aspect, it had no place in our home/life, & that if I should touch or even think about these things again, I’d lose my freedom essentially. I’ve had to repress my dreams which are really prophetic visions. My dreams come true all the time. I’ve never been able to explore the empath side of myself until the last few years when I finally got married & moved out. Sigh, anyways.... ALL that to say, thanks for being so kind & understanding towards your daughter. It’s something I wish for everyday.💗

This is me right now, I've always loved nature a lot, (My parents always told me to respect it, and we were passing all our free time in forest. Plus, we are a very green family, and that's a thing I really like about us). Recently, I had a huge passion about herbs, and I've even did a "Herb shop" in art class, turned out amazing ! I also like a lot to draw plants, to see plants, and of course I believe and think herb medicine is something awesome ! I am currently watching this video to know if I've actually had a green witch inside of me all this time. I hope I can see more about who I am 🍀🌱☁♡

Since I was a kid, I had a connection with nature (I remember telling people to ask the tree if you can take its branches/leaves or apologise after doing so because it hurts the tree haha), the first thing I researched when I first took an interest in witchcraft were herbs, I have a green thumb (even when I don't pay that much attention to my plants, they thrive ans regrow when something happens to them, I even recently started growing my own herbs (unfortunately the only one that has managed to sprout from seeds was lovage, a little warrior as I've found that the soil is starting to grow mould so I'll have to replant it into some new soil). I actually started my own book of plants (not quite a herbarium as it was mainly centred on trees) when I was 8. I think I'm a green witch.... well then... explains a lot 😂

This is me!!!! Started when I was a little girl and we lived in Arizona. Made bird nests for the birds while analyzing my mom's front yard which had only one rose bush. I knew her yard need more plants and color. Then when I lived with my maternal grandparents in Colorado, their gardening inspired me to garden. These introductions led me to getting my Assoc. of Science Degrees in Landscape Design and Nursery Management. I also studied Herbology and Massage Therapy later on in life when our sons were older. Then when I began researching my ancestors, I learned about my maternal Grandmother's Uncle James Asbury "Charles" Ruggles who got studied and earned his medical degree while practicing medicine using plant materials he gathered and healed people with in Stafford, Kansas.

Wonderful video! I think I must be a tree witch. I’m really in love with the Golden Bough by Frazer... being a mix of plant lore and mythology. The idea that the people saw the sun originating within wood, that the myth of the Norse Balder is a ritual outline, and the profound knowledge that the origins of the very concept of magic comes from the evergreen because the winter spell had no power over it, and thus evolved into a codex of immortality, that born the races of fairies and elves, absolutely beautiful! Keep up the good work and don’t be afraid to commit more depth on these topics.

And finally, I have come to believe that learning as much as you can about your ancestors, and also the ancient practices of your ethnic people, where they come from, etc., is vital, below no other wisdom, about what you are, and how magic flows through your vessel, given to you by all the people that survived long enough to pass on their life to you, if that makes sense.

My earliest memories were of finding different plants at school, occasionally grinding them into pastes, and trying to sell/get other people to do it too-pretty soon I had an entire club of kids just tying up bits of plants. Eventually, the school decided we were a “black market” (or something like that) and to,d us to throw the pastes and bundles away. Instead, we all decided to plant them outside of the school. After that I decided “okay. This is my life now. I love plants”. But I didn’t want to be like a weird kid who was obsessed with plants, so I talked to one of my friends that identified as a “green witch”. And she told me to just say I was a green witch instead of saying that I adored plants. Flash forward 10-some years, and I just remembered the phrase “green witch” and wanted to see if it was a real thing, not just something my friend called herself, and I stumbled on this video. Idk if this matters, but I just felt like saying it :)

Hello! I have been following your channel for a while but only have recently started diving into all of what you do and the info you have to share. First, thanks for all that you do and share! I grew up with this feeling that I connected with nature, also I’m Native American so I like to think that’s it just deeply rooted in me. My papa had a garden with tons of fruits in his backyard with a little fish pond and he would take us fishing and camping. He passed several years ago but still have such fond memories of spending time at his house and in the backyard. Ever since I was little I’ve been on many camping trips and hiking trips (now I’m 30). I also grew up golfing competitively so maybe that’s relative to my connection with the nature around me? I have only recently gained a green thumb and love taking care of the few plants I have. I think this has to do with being in an unhappy relationship for so long and not spending my time with the right person. I grew further from who I was. Now I’m happily married and I truly feel like I’m with the right one who accepts me for who I am.. I’m not religious or anything but I have a spiritual connection and urge to be more connected somehow. Now that im 30 is it too late to dive into the world of witchcraft?

I’m 52 in February, and my whole life I’ve loved nature, plants, forests, mountain streams, trees, animals. But I’ve mostly lived the way I think society expects. Since 2020, I have began embracing my authentic self-I stopped hiding my silvers and love it. And I’ve started opening my spirit to things I was taught were bad-even though nothing about what I’m feeling is bad. I still love my God, I have a connection to the Holy Spirit, and I feel more spiritually awakened than I ever have. I touch my trees and speak to them, and I don’t care if the neighbors think I’m kooky! Lol I stand outside in the dark of night when I take my sweet dogs out and I stare at the stars, and study them, and talk to the moon. (I’ve always secretly talked to the moon.) I have a flock of crows that sometimes hang out in my yard, and I will occasionally talk to them. I have a huge connection to animals-particularly swans, horses, foxes, dogs. I started using essential oils in a diffuser, but haven’t explored them more-Yet. I’ve been drawn to crystals and gems for a while but am unsure what they mean and how to use them. I remember watching some movie in the 1990s called Practical Magic, and was very drawn to it. Yeah I know it was Hollywood, but the underlying feeling I had was “connection”. I don’t believe in cursing or hexing people, because I only want to bless others. I remember a few years ago in the news witches were placing curses on the former President and that went against my spirit so strongly and for a bit closed my mind to reaching out for more information about witchCraft. But then I realized, just like with EVERY group of people, some do good and some do bad. I’m only interested in being kind and loving, helpful and joyful, gentle and peaceful-not placing curses on people that I dont like. I am interested in learning tarot or oracle decks, but I don’t want ones that contain darkness. Throughout history, women and men were burned because they were witches and people did not understand anyone who was different and didn’t believe the way they did. It breaks my heart. I feel like I am in a metamorphosis and hope to continue this new journey in my life. Any suggestions, or guidance is appreciated. 😊❤

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA LOVE your DOGGIES!!!! so cute. I always love plants and grew up with agronomers so was always surrounded by people who loves and work with plants and nature. I am Green witch because I love herbalism and botanic sciencies is something very complicated to describe the special connection with plants and my soul. Your channel is so adorable and I like the way you explain your craft in a very simple and sophisticated way. Be blessed!

I feel like I’m slowly becoming a green witch. At 18 I started learning about yoni health and would do yoni steams a lot . Years later I have my own herbs, making my own tinctures and have my own garden. I’m 23 and I have a lot to learn but I just know that’s what I am becoming. My grandmother and grandfather both were always in the garden. That was my great grandpas job actually so it was his way of living (growing watermelons). Weird last year my grandmother passed away and I had collard greens in my garden. She loves greens, and it’s crazy after she passed my greens became so lucious and beautiful. I cooked my own and they were delicious. I just knew it was my granny❤️

Do you have any book recommendations for inspiring green witches?
@TheGreenWitch5 жыл бұрын
Well I would absolutely recommend "the green witch" by Arin Murphy-Hiscock because it is a pretty understanding of a lot of the practices green witches tend to follow but beyond that I personally pick up every herbal book or tea book I can find that is an in-depth guide to working with typically the medicinal benefits of the herb because I feel that having that understanding can be powerful and there are hundreds and hundreds of books out there on all of that stuff. I hope this helps if there's more I can do just let me know!

I recently just lost my mom and now I have to live with my grandma. She has a small yard and I could not have my own garden, and that makes me very upset. but she does love plants and has 2 gardens of flowers, I just wish I could have my own.

Hi Katie, I am so very sorry 2 hear about your mom. I truly am. I hope that your grandma will allow u 2 have potted plants. That might be a really good start. Also when u have some quiet time maybe u can have a conversation with your mom and ask HER 2 encourage your grandmother 2 see how having a green space of your own would make u so happy. Just a thought. Hugs and lots of warm thoughts coming your way!🎇😅

I always thought of myself of more eclectic. But I’m huge in herbalism and I do feel more at home in nature…I can see being a green witch. I’ve been practicing for a little bit over a year and still learning but this made me have an aha moment.

I have a question, for all green witches, really: How do you practice herbalism when it’s winter, and the plants are resting? I’m very curious, and that’s something that I tend to worry about, since I am a beginner green witch. 🥰🦋🍀

I've always loved nature, and helping and healing, not only people but every alive being! That's why I've the intention of studying medicine to become a surgeon (because even if I'm really into herbalism, I really love science and that kind of medicine to!) but also studying to be a green witch! I think my witchcraft is hereditary, God blessed me and my family with this amazing power and connection with nature ❤️ I'm still a really baby witch! Thanks for your videos, they are really helpful God bless you ❤️

really interesting. but when i was little i hated rain, but last year before i started witchcraft i started to always wish it would rain. and ever since then i love the rain. its my favorite thing. in california i loved going to the red wood forest after it rained and then heading to the beach. i recently moved away unfortantley. and i used to grind up herbs and put them in bottles.

I have unknowingly done these things for most of my life. How strange I found this channel and this video today and its over two years old. I have very recently became interested in Tarot and somehow this research led me here. Another odd thing, the picture behind you , is a plant I've been very interested in for the past several months and was even on my mind earlier today. Strange how life works. Thank you for the video.

I grow herbs and stuff and make teas out of them some of them actually do work on helping with healing. I know a lot of people don't think about mixing one type of tea to another type of tea to get an effect in other words mixing one plant to another plant to get the right effect like minty is meant to help your tummy it also with anti with digestive her and her heartburn and and nausea

I am working on my green thumb! I'm naturally drawn to plants although its been a struggle in Texas. I love drying out the herbs I manage to harvest and am working on growing more than just basil, rosemary, and mint. Lavendar seems to hate me although my lemon tree and lemongrass seem much happier with my nonsense lol. My houseplants die though.

I wonder if I'm possibly a green witch. (I do not currently practice witchcraft, but curious) I'm obsessed with herbal teas and broths, studying all about how herbs can heal us because I suffer from gastroparesis, esophageal dysmotility, and fibromyalgia and honestly am left with doctors almost giving up on my case or just throwing pills down my throat and so I've turned to study how natural foods, mostly herbs can help me! I especially love teas because it's one thing I can consume as foods are more challenging, if not impossible. So I desperately want to heal and manage my body naturally. So, currently, I consider myself a healer but I think I'm really drawn to this type and I also am so drawn to the autumn... is there such a thing as an Autumn witch?

I’m not saying I’m a green witch but the reasons I’m looking into it is my favorite word has always been photosynthesis 😂 that doesn’t mean much but I’ve loved the process of it. I’ve been super drawn to greens and plants for a while now and I have a chair outside hidden under the trees in my backyard and I just sit there and little poems about the trees and wind come to mind when I’m not even trying to think about it. My dad has always said I have a green thumb but I figured it was just natural for everyone? But anyway I want to learn more about this and if I don’t get far at least I learned something interesting.

I was indeed born with a green thumb. Growing up I worked most of my summer in the community garden even teaching others that were even older then me lol. I love plants and I've always been fascinated with how herbs and spices work so well natural remedies. Sitting in a tree all alone in a forest with folk music in my ear is just right ya know?

On the Turkish side of my family almost everybody is very good with herbalism especially my great grandma. When my dad was younger she would always make natural medicine and stuff for him. I believe she was lowkey a Greenwich but didn't tell because it's kind of taboo in the middle East
