Dont cover screws with glue. What happens when it breaks and you have to replace it?
@BeefNEggs0573 жыл бұрын
You have to take that bumper off using those screws when you break your front A arms. Guess this guy is screwed when that happens. It will happen. Never cover up any screws on your RC. All of them are there to get to something.

The screws back out on the right side due to the fact that when the suspension compresses it puts a counter clockwise force on the screws causing them to back out. On the left side as the suspension compresses it puts a clockwise force on the screws causing them to stay tight if you can picture that in your head. Great idea to put them in the opposite way thus reversing the force on the screws! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great tips!!! I have one more tip, the white servo saver, ditch it! I broke 2 servo savers in 2 days! The first one broke after just the first 10 minutes of use! I upgraded to a Traxxas steering arm, recommended from my local hobby guy and I've had no issues running the stock servo! I've recently upgraded to a brushless Hobby Star motor and Esc and a 3s Lipo battery, the stock servo is holding up well so far! Great tip on the rear A-arm screw, as I'm having that problem now with all this new power, lol! Love my Slash!!!
@evhexrc17656 жыл бұрын
1- I made my own body washers out of the tops of Pringles containers. I cut em up and was good to go. 2-if you put the shoogoo in the bumper like you said, you can no longer get the screws out of the holes you just plugged. I would use hot glue instead because you can get it out with needle nose pliers easier. I recommend hot glue instead of shoogoo. 3-nice tip 4-that's what I do! 5-also a nice tip.

Interesting, tip#3, those plastic pieces that come with your shock kit are to lower your suspension. I just installed them onto my rustler today. Made a 'world' of a difference on handling turns on the pavement, no more rollovers. Can turn 180° on the spot without flipping over like it did with the stock setup. They reduce the rebound on the shocks so that they don't fully extend thus lowering your car to the ground. Also stiffens the suspension.

How about 3 hole pistons to soften suspension, you can lower your truck using fuel tub or o rings, you can soften your tires with pb blaster for more traction, I wouldn't glue my holes because then it's hard to get the bumper off, I also took my electronics out of the plastic junk to make it lighter and moved the speed control down to the chassis. You should also oil the bushings on the motor, and you can cut that foam block in half for more adjustment. My camber out of the box was off a lot so I'd check that too.

Threw in a 870 KV leopard hobby motor with a ztw 12s 300a ESC and a losi 5T 2.0 cage and body panels. Milled and lathed a center mount differential as there is no more rear section anymore. PLEASE (for the love of all that's holy), DO VIDEO TUTORIALS FOR: Arrma "Vorteks" -- Upgrades for the track Arrma "Typhon" -- " " Traxxas "Slash" (Fox Edition) -- " " I want to start practicing with the aforementioned RTR rigs at off-road tracks, with the intention of official club racing when I feel ready (asap). I didn't want to get an Associated RC10T 6.2 or RC10B 6.3 kit right away, because like so many others who flock to the @RazorRC channel (and copious other channels), I'm getting back into the hobby after decades away, I.e., I wanted to "feel it out" before doing full builds. My driving is improving quickly (cornering, doubles-triples, quads, straightaways, etc.), so a kit build is right around the corner (pun intended). In the meantime, what can I do with my RTR rig/s to make them track worthy for practicing? My current plans are: Proline off-road track tires and wheels (w/ 12mm hex updates) Proline suspension w/ TLR shock-oil (45wgt. in the front / 40wgt. in the rear) Aluminum driveshafts (FYI: the best brand/option is unknown, but maybe you have options for us) Aluminum motor plates (as seen in your "5-must-do-mods" Vorteks video) Servo savers I've bought all the parts mentioned, (x3 of everything for backups). I need to swap things in/out, however, recommendations are appreciated. If you have the time to answer fan requests, please make videos about turning RTR rigs into track worthy trucks and buggies. I know there're a lot of us with the stated goal; as budding superstar track racers that are prepping to ride lightning, I thought it'd be a great topic of discussion. I've searched high-and-low without finding anything... please, give the people what they want brother! NOTE: after asking the RC community @ arrmaforum.com, your channel was recommended by multitudes of people; kudos, bruh!

Plugging access holes eliminates your ability to tighten the screws, semi-permenant lock tight is a good way to keep screws from backing out (not swapping the direction of the screws or gluing them in place), the tabs that were suggested to cut off are there to keep the bumper from rotating. Not any attempt to attack this guy, but he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Not that I know everything, just do your homework. Good luck everyone!
