Hi Danny - thanks for this. Great advice. On the selfie one, I'd like to just build on that slightly as it might help others and it has certainly helped me, as someone that struggles with controlling the low point on irons. When making your swing ONLY focus on your right hand but do so throughout the entirety of the swing. Don't try to consciously change or manipulate, just focus on it and be aware of where your right hand is from take away, to the top of the backswing, throughout transition, downswing, strike and follow through. No judgment just focus. It REALLY helps me to stop thinking of a million things and it GENUINELY has improved my control of the low point and therefore strike.

At approximate 1 min in you reference “alignment of arms happens AFTER impact. I struggle with uncertainty re my driver and alignment of arms . Same or diff? Also we see some pros take their right hand OFF through impact. What reality are they making adjustment for and at our amateur level what can or should we be aware of from this “hand off “ observation? Thank you!

Can you make a video based upon address location (heel, toe, middle) of the golf club? Ithink my poor shots result in toe address.

Danny I have been watching only your videos for golf instructions for over a year now and I love all of them. One thing though I have been struggling with and causes most of my issues is I am so worried about my hand position and where the club is at all times. During the swing do you trying to not even think about your hands? Is there a way to get over this and be more confident during my swing?
@DanielMaude

Absolutely, often revolves around your arm pressure which I will refer to in a future video

Hello Danny. Just stared to use your drills. You are definitely one of the best instructors on you tube. Simple drills to improve your game. I have finally joined a golf club…and look forward to practicing your drills. I normally can shoot in the mid 80’s. Not bad for a 54 year old. Will keep you updated on my game improvements. Just need to hit those short irons consistently. Thanks for all you do for the game of golf.

Danny. Love your videos. Have a problem practicing tip #4 on better ball striking. My right wrist is fused so I’m unable to bend it back. Do you have a possible fix for someone with this restriction in their swing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Clear and concise, I particularly liked the one where you grip down on the shaft and try not to hit your side with the handle. It gives a feel for the release which just feels right and you can use it anywhere, regardless of space restrictions. Can't wait to try it outdoors.

Once again Danny Maude gives five easy to understand instruction to improve ball striking with irons He demonstrates that it is not just one factor but a combination. His great instruction is that he demonstrates what he is teaching, Compare this with an advertiser, who makes you believe that however bad the golf swing/ technique that there is ONE magic reason for poor ball striking.

Hi Danny New subscriber here. I have liked your video Thank you very much for explaining the golf swing so well. My problem is that I can not hit the ball straight. I have tried to do these drills but I must be doing something wrong. Because I get pain in my left leg when I straighten it as I come through the swing. I hope that you can help me. 😢

I'm so frustrated with my irons....with it being wet and muddy season I'm trying to take the ball a bit cleaner (so I don't hit fat) and as a result hitting thin instead.....at one time irons were the best part of my game now they are a nightmare and have no confidence with them at all.....gone from shooting mid to high 70's to hacking mid to high 90's and isn't making the game enjoyable anymore.....

Danny, another incredibly helpful video. I am one of those who doesn't like hurting the grass. I know.... The idea of practicing in a bunker is pure genius. Also, I recently had tremendous doubts about the slight lift, or extend as you call it, of the body at the end of the backswing. I don't recall hearing anybody else talk about it, and has truly helped. Thank you very much.

Great video,tip 5 is one of my 3 go to drills that has helped me get down to 4hcp.But most golfers trying to get ball turf will just lunge at it with their right side.Most golfers never get to their left side,tip 5 and dannys step through drills will help But hardly any golfers load and fire their left shoulder,danny may have covered this in his pete cowan video but requires strengthening and working on athletic ability as well.

Hey Danny, I shot my best score in 10 yrs last week in DR,,a score of 78, usually high 80s. 2 things helped, one hold the back swing like not taking a selfie and keeping that angle, other weight on right by turning left, then moving left by turning right, Dr knon moves, drives 270 and one 283, not bad for a 17 HC, looking for big things in 23.

Thanks Danny, gonna be trying this at the range next week. I notice you often mention start off small and build up. I can get into position from #5 when it’s all I do, hips wide open, trail side bend with face square at impact. At best I manage between 25% and 0% off that on the course. Think it’s because in a full swing I have not got the correct position for #3, I’ve not got enough lead side bend to allow me to get to #5 from a too flat #3.

My issue has always been low point control. I think the issue with tip 1 is if you don't know the fundamentals about grip, back angle, early extension etc, you will never have a consistent low point. I've been trying for 3 years and I can just as easily swing and be 2 inches off the ground (too high) or be a foot behind the ball. I think it's just a hand-eye skill you have or you don't.
