5 Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Side Dishes EASY Make Ahead Recipes

I've already meal prepped my Thanksgiving dinner. My green bean casserole is slightly different. I take a large bag of frozen green beans and add half of a can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 packet of lipton onion soup, as well as half a cup of whole milk. I mix in about 1.5 cups of fried onions. I divide it between 2 small rectangular aluminum pans cover it and write cooking instructions on top for Thanksgiving day. Then I freeze them.

I’m taking green bean casserole, broccoli cheese bake and long grain and wild rice mix to our family get-together. The addition of cream cheese to your mashed potatoes really makes them creamy. It’s especially a good way to keep the leftovers from getting dried out.

Hi Jennifer ! I think you forgot to show us to add the sour cream in the corn. We call it scalloped corn and I’m supposed to bring to our dinner this year but I have never thought about putting it in the slow cooker. Smart idea!

I’m a sucker fro real mashed. No garlic or sour cream. I cook mine normal (in the IP to soften with salt in the water) also just a lot of salted butter and half milk, and half and half. They are great with homemade gravy! If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Born in Idaho and raised with the real stuff!

This is actually our first Thanksgiving where we are cooking everything. We do Ham instead of turkey. Some of the things I'm cooking are corn casserole, dressing, homemade mashed potatoes, squash casserole, broccoli rice casserole, pumpkin pie & banana pudding but of course there is more!
