It would be nice if there was a customizable rack focus speed. In the meantime, there is a hack of sorts to do this. If you shoot in 30, 60, or 120fps and use the slowest focus setting then you could use however much extra slow motion to achieve that extra time.

Well auto focusing during a video if you just lightly tap the capture button it will automatically auto Focus again to the subject in case you accidentally lost focus

I've been trying to figure out what custom settings work for me. One thing I have not seen anyone talk about is the mydial settings and the advantage to setting them to a custom button. You get to pick 3 of each of a small category of features for each of the wheel and dial. So that's 6 shortcuts you can have from one button that you have to press three times to cycle through them all. I feel like it's getting 6 "fn" shortcuts at one button.

Hi! I use Rode Video Mic Pro straight into Sony a6500 with the sound setting at 1. The problem appears when I just start talk into mic the cameras automatic gain control starts distorting my audio. Can you please give me an advice how to eliminate that problem? Thanks

With the release of so many newer models of cameras and their 'marks', everyone simply demos them with the most expensive lenses. Leaves me wondering if these newer cameras would perform equally well with 'cheaper' and 'older' lenses. On a flip side, how would the performance of older cameras (like 6000, 6300) perform with newer GMaster kind of new lenses ? Can answer questions in many peoples' mind towards upgrading. Camera body or Lens ? Can you throw some light ? You seem to 'own' every body / lens for a simple tut. thanks.

a6300. how do you go down to 1.8 or 2.8 in capable lens while in AF ? invariably they don't go down beyond 3.5 ! Plus, is there a way you can raise the shutter speed beyond 1/25 when in auto shooting mode ? looks like there's scope for hack !

there's a small hack i found for racking focus. While video shooting in AFC, hold the shutter button down to keep the focus on one person / object. then, gently move the camera to the second position and release the half shutter button to shift focus. its, smooth and flawless. Requires a bit of practice.

Great video and presentation... but IMHO the title was "CLICK BAIT". Your video didn't include any hacks what so ever. Maybe the last one is close, but in reality is not a hack, the EOSHD website claims, "EOSHD Pro Color is a highly optimised in-camera profile for your Sony camera". So this is just a Profile settings... were as a "Hack" involves modifying Physical, Software features that are not normally there. These were just adjustments hidden in the Menu system. Video was still fun to watch! But as for a "hack"... for example, in my channel I have a couple of videos with "Real Hacks" (some are on the works); 1) How to MOD your Prime A-Mount Lenses to record with full aperture f1.4~ while having Auto Focus. Normally, amount Sony cameras when shooting video with Auto Focus, only allows apertures starting from f3.5 (no matter the lens). 2) I allow installed a "Hack" firmware that allows you to remove the Video recording limit of 30mins. 3) Change the System language from Japanese to English (Japanese cameras don't have English in their system). 4) That same Hack also allows me to install various apps (features) that Cost money in the Sony Memory App store (such as Timelapse, Advanced Bracketing, etc.) Anyways Jason Thanks for the effort! Still an entertaining video!!! :) If anyone out there knows of any other Hacks, please SHARE IT HERE! or in my Channel! Love these kind of videos.

I got the A6300 on Amazon for £644 because the 'box has slight damage'. The normal price (body only) is £776 so I had it for£132 cheaper for a dented box :)
