Lesson learned: just because you pay more does not guarantee a good night's sleep! So guys, where is the QUIETEST AND MOST AFFORDABLE PLACE IN NYC? But also not too far from tasty food and all the happenings? Btw I have two more NYC videos from this trip to share with you. I've been spacing them out to keep content diverse. Stay tuned for more pixels to come! And remember to share this video to help me make make money back from this hotel stay 😂

The Cloisters -- Museum in Fort Tryon Park -- Washington Heights, Manhattan, NYC. (Real North!) 😂 Specializes in European-Medieval architecture, sculpture & decorative arts with a focus on Romanesque & Gothic periods. Since you're the resident architect/ artist here, I thought I'd mention it! 😉 ✌️ ♥ P.S. NoMad Hotel, i.e. - "North of Madison Square Park" or "Madison Square North" looked pretty ritzy, but I don't think the room floors were worth 5-cinos a night! 😱💰💰💰💰💰 Don't worry, Mina; I'll definitely share! ♥

Honestly, I think paying so much money for a hotel is never worth it. In the end you mostly just sleep there, take a shower and have breakfast. So all I mostly care about is if the bed is kinda comfy, the water warm, a small brealfast buffet and cleanliness. Which one can usually get for around 100$ so spending more on better aesthetics and service just doesn't really give me a better experience. I hope that one day you will find a quiet place in NY :)

It's always fascinated me that the more expensive a hotel is the fewer amenities are provided for free (bottled water, breakfast, parking, etc.). I guess they figure if you can afford the price of the room you won't blink at paying extra for all those other things.
@Melza015 жыл бұрын
So expensive and tiny for something with no good scenery or real excitement. 🙈

Different cities, different prices! But yeah, I'm not planning to go to NYC again anytime soon lol. Mommy Oh loves NYC, but I'll opt for somewhere more naturely next time. Btw I have two more NYC videos in stock, so that's from this same trip. In case you get confused why I went back so soon 😆

It's not worth sleeping $500 it doesn't look worth it to me and your better in a motel what they offer you in that hotel. They should of cut the price for you because of the noise.

If this was in another city, a room like that would be priced around $100, and in asia even less. Just goes to show New York is really an expensive city. A year ago though I stayed at Marriott hotel in Times Square for around $130, which is a pretty good deal. It has a pretty nice room and pretty good sound proofing!
@BrittanyNicole5 жыл бұрын
just when i needed your soothing voice :) also, yikes, that hotel doesn't look like its worth $500 a night at all! but i hope you and Mommy Oh had fun in NY regardless!

In NYC, don't pre book rooms. Do it the night of using Priceline name your own price, or express deals, or hotel tonight. You can usually land $3-500 rooms for less than $150 a night.

I stayed at home2suites in Long Island City with my parents and it was quiet... Aside from my parents's snoring. I had to wear earplugs each night because their snores would alternate so I didn't have a second of silence. But it was a great place to stay. Train is at the corner and a deli across the street for emergencies.

I know that there is a hotel in Little Neck (Queens) and it is pretty near Flushing. There are many amazing Asian Cuisines in Main Street, Flushing. There is a Korean BBQ restaurant that you should try at 171-10 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358. Prince tea house and Mango Mango are two amazing cafes that you must try.

The hotel facilities look 5-star; the rooms do not. I remember in London staying at a highly-rated hotel and when I opened the curtains, I saw the brick wall of the neighboring building 15 feet away :). The service, restaurant and main areas were excellent however. The sirens are the same in London.

Hi Mina, great content as usual! I dont think the $500 is worth it, your hotel room looks dated & to top it off, you said its a bit noisy at night.
