The villa (and the huge private pool), the lunch in the restaurant, the drinks at sunset with the amazing view, the floating breakfast and the high tea - everything looks really great, special and tasty. But over USD 1000 per day is a lot of money, too much for me. Did you get a very special price because of the pandemic (or were you invited by the Sri Lanka Tourism Board) ?

If my choice was to spend $250/night for a week in a "standard" 4-5 star hotel versus "roughing it" for $100/night (in some cheap hotel or village B&B) for 6 nights followed by 1 night here at the end, I would choose the latter. The essence of Sri Lanka is its village life, culture and food - this is a tourist-oriented luxury and one day of that would be enough for me. I like the way they have integrated nature into the compound.
