I’m currently doing a story about 8 females who decided to pulled their money together to build a community. Each sim have their own house on the same lot. ( using the rental pack) and each sim has a different skill the can help another sim build up their skills. They make money to build up their house and business. I made each have different personalities and jump from house to house to help each build up their skill and business. It’s the tiny town challenge by deligracy.

Lore i think is so important I normally dont play with the same family often and i once i started using lore and rotating households with ones I've created and other households i started playing on one save file for longer and i absolutely adore it. In my current household my teen sim hes in uni taking care of his child half sister after their parent's committed unalive

For me right now rotational gameplay is a big thing I do, I have 4-5 households that are all important to the world, and it's been actually SO fun to see those families randomly spawn while playing other family! For example, I have 3 boarding schools for spellcasters and I alternate between them, and it kinda helps that Glimmerbrook is so small, and they just keep walking around from time to time and it gives me an opportunity to do interesting unexpected social interactions. The last time I played, a big drama/tragedy happened in one of the schools, and a particular boy was feeling very sad but as a loner wasn't talking to anyone. And then I saw a girl from another school walk by, I made him talk to her, and I am so into it now, I feel like they could become great friends or even fall in love when they grow up. And second thing for me is to always "listen to the game" instead of having my own solid plans, like with that tragedy I mentioned -- it was basically caused by a glitch because of the mod or the update ahaha BUT I decided to leave it be and deal with it, and it became such a plot twist that spiced up the story a great deal! Now I might have to create some villains for the story to put the blame for the accident on them xD

my current household (TW DRUGS) I wanted to make the big brother challenge because I saw it on a video. I never thought that, months later, I’d still be playing the family. It started with a drug addict mom, a child boy and a toddler girl. Basically, the mom just drank and did drugs and didn’t take care of her children, so the big brother, Noah, took care of his little sister, Clover. He also earned the money for food and pay the bills, because his mom didn’t work. And the saddest part is that she used his money to get more drugs. The mom got pregnant again by her drug dealer, I actually didn’t plan that but I went with it. She gave birth to another girl and I named her Poppy. I was going with the flowers theme. Noah became a teenager and when Poppy was a toddler, their mom d’ed of an over’ose. Leaving Noah to take care of his two sisters in a bad trailer. Now? Noah is nearly an adult, married to his childhood best friend, his first son just turned into a child and his infant son is about to be a toddler. Clover moved out and is living with her fiance and she’s a famous painter. Poppy still lives at home until she’s done with college and she aims to be a famous actress. Noah and his wife are famous social media parents and have 110k to spend on their kids. They remodelled the trailer to look cozier, with a second floor for the family and the place never looked more charming. I’m so proud of my gameplay, I took so many photos and the house is filled with them. Also! Noah, Clover, and Poppy are all valedictorians and graduated with honours. :’D I love this family SO much!!

@@SistaBear update! Clover got married and is expecting her fist baby, a girl! Poppy graduated college and is now a 3-star actress and she's currently preparing herself to move out and begin her life. Poppy is still happily single and she doesn't have plans to become a mother, I think she'd rather focus on her career and have flings for now :)

I agree, giving your sims a backstory and connections in game makes it so easy to invest in the game play. I love rotational gameplay too and have always wondered how other players structure it. Do you keep all the households you rotate through in the 'my household' tab or just the current one and mark the others unplayed?.. I hope this makes sense 😅

Yess backstories are essential!! So I structure it by keeping my rotational households as "played". And usually when I have MCCC story progression on, I allow changes in my played households so that they still have those autonomous pregnancies/engagements/etc. I hope that makes sense + answers your question

My current household: [TW drugs] A drug addict who didn't earn any money slept with men to get a roof over her head for the night. Eventually she got pregnant and gave birth to a girl she named after her fav drug. When the baby was a few years old, her mother died of an accidental overdose. The mother's best friend took care of the baby. The best friend had two twins of her own around the same age as her dead friend's kid. The three children grow up together and become close asf. All three of the kids become addicts too but eventually troea to go to rehab and break the cycle.

How I started the In bloom challenge and a whole drama unfolded. I did not create a back story. So I decided I want my sim to have 1 child and a husband. Omg not what happened. So I used cupids corner cuz the dad is supposed to have the outdoors trait. So everything was good she found someone and was pregnant. The relationship was up and down. My sim also wanted the nosy trait added. How she finds out the dads secret is he wants to have multiple kids with different moms. I didn't even know that was a thing( I do have mods.) So she moves on from him finds someone new. He asks on his own if they can move in together. Of course I say yes. As soon as the households merge he gets a pop up saying his daughter was born. I check his relationships he has 2 kids different moms and zero relationship with both not even friends. So when my child ages up to toddler I add his kids to the house. They also have twins together. Then as the toddler ages to child for her birthday I adopt a cat since she will be a vet. As the cat is being adopted my maid dies in a dryer fire. I have mccc mod and see the maid has a baby and a pony adopted to an elderly guy in horse ranch and he has a horse too. I have a full 8 sim house but feel extremely bad. So I use mccc to expand my house. I take in the elderly man, the horse, the pony, and the baby. So my 3 sim household turned in to twelve. This is also the first time I used mccc to expand the household slot. I am happy with the story though

The new lovestruck pack kinda ruined rotational gameplay for me 🤧 My sims will start fighting with their partner if i rejoin it and I don't have time to always fix their relationships... I usually play a week with a family and then switch to the sister or brother of my sim and their children...

May I know how do you get your sims game to have such warm and cozy lighting? Mine always bursts with brightness and my sims kept glowing 😢 I have downloaded lighting mods and milk thistle, sunbinds… non of it seems to help. Am I doing something wrong? I have gshade on as well

i think is the reshade preset she's using, try to find some preset that looks good for u !!

if none of the shaders work maybe u need to change the settings on ur moniter to suit sims better
