My doctor put me on 20 mg (twenty) per day and I started feeling muscle aches, tendon aches in elbows etc within 4 days. From what you are saying sounds like a big dose out the gate and daily? I am 62 and am going back to what I know. Easy bicycle riding indoors and walking. Cannot take these side effects.

What is the mechanism that causes the pain in the muscle, damage-atrophy? I have had extreme muscle and weight loss (went from being athletic to being a skelitor old man in about two years), after being prescribed blood pressure and statin drugs. Hi kwaku, i went many videos online in relation to muscle aches caused by statin and i found yours to be one of the most informative. One question, apart from the muscle aches, i also have feel blood flow movements to the brain and get nauseous every now and then. Is this common?
