Smoke It's likely many civilizations in the universe exist that aren't as intelligent, or advanced as we are. However, these aliens wouldn't have the technological knowledge for space travel. Currently, we're only capable of achieving small baby steps into space. What I'm saying is it's likely older, more advanced civilizations exist as well. If they are visiting us, then their technology is thousands of years ahead of ours. They would have had to travel billions of light years and have access to unlimited energy and resources. Unfortunately, this would likely come from harvesting resources from planets other than theirs, which is a scary prospect. Also, they would have the power to travel through wormholes, otherwise it would take thousands of years to get anywhere, even if they traveled near the speed of light. If that was achieved, they would also have to figure out a way to combat time dilation. Unfortunately, we are so far from this technology that it's currently unfathomable. I suspect, if aliens have visited, they are either checking on their creation, or seeing what we're up to, since UFO reports increased drastically during our discovery of nuclear energy. Also, they could simply be studying different life forms. The possibilities are endless. It boggles the mind to think about it.
