For the past two years Russ has been scheming to get our Land Rover fully kitted. The timing was finally right. Here she is all outfitted with compartments, drawers and space for everything we need for our 6 month overlanding safari from South Africa to Kenya and back.

Love what you have done to your Landy. Do you still have passanger seats in the back? We've put door extenders on the back door so that they can open fully. We have removed the back seats (kids out the house so no longer needed) and the plan is to build storage shelves that can fit ammo boxes but are looking around for ideas before crating our final design & building it.

Thank you! We sure enjoy it. Works perfectly for us. We left the backseats in. However, use them quite effectively for storage.

Hmph. Less is more IMO. Stacking boxes work fine for me. But at least you are following your dream.

That’s how we started out... stacking bags and boxes. This really makes it much simpler and faster. Especially for long term living on the road. At least for us it has been marvelous

@@NikelaWildlife Maybe you are further down the line than me. I put the heavy stuff (spares, tools, shackles etc) in custom made aluminium boxes in the load bay well. My fridge is much smaller than yours (40l) and lives in the rear corner and, importantly, it doesn't impede the lids of the Al boxes. The rest goes in stacking plastic boxes. I don't have much room (Def 90) so space is at a premium. All of the drawer systems I have seen are (a) heavy and (b) lose much of the available volume. Yours may be better. Good travels!

@@defendermodsandtravels The weight of the drawers and Fridge slide is why way too much. I removed my drawers and replaced with sliders and clear plastic boxes on the sliders.
