@Sumunuhriginal5 жыл бұрын
Spartan Q77 Ezio collection was remastered before odyssey came out. They only did these games because the first game isn’t as popular so a remaster probably wouldn’t sell well. The ezio games and ac3 were the only ones not made for the PS4 and Xbox one so they got remastered for it to fill in the gap years between the big releases. You also have to take in account that Rogue was also remastered as well as Liberations. Nothing was really intentional about the games they chose other than the fact that they wanted to make money during the gap years, and the obvious way to do it was by remastering already made games that weren’t available on the current gen.

The only flaw this game really had considering when it came out was the repetitiveness. Altaïr is a fairly interesting character, He is not so boisterous and colorful as Ezio but the world and events that surrounds Altaïr makes him interesting. He is arrogant but also very reserved and calm, and very introverted and you rarely see heroes/protagonists like that in western media. From what I heard the game was supposed to be more varied in the ways to achieve your goals like Thief or Dishonored but more leaning to the realism of Thief(the good ones). But AAA wouldn't have any of that and meddled a bit too much making the end product innovative and interesting yet sadly repetative. Luckily the game isn't very long and I enjoy replaying this for the story more than I enjoy many of the newer titles. There is something about the simplicity and the more challanging gameplay that comes with it. Also I find the story more neuanced and interesting than many of the newer ones:)

I appreciate someone going back and saying good things about the first game. It has a lot of problems, and the second game definitely fixes them. But my god I would much rather play this rather than AC Odyssey. I've gone on and on about how much I hate Odyssey with it's, bad writing, dialogue, voice acting, polish in the combat and movement, the reused assets, the world being too big, not caring enough for the main character, the fact that the actual war that's going with the Spartans and Athens doesn't make a difference for your game, it's dialogue choices hardly changing anything at all, and worse of all, in my opinion, the lack of a world that actually feels alive. You can walk around in the biggest city in that game and nothing feels alive. Personally, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is my least favorite game from the series. Sorry for the long comment. Whenever I talk about that game I usually have a lot to say. Edit: also, Assassin's Creed Odyssey fucked up so much of the lore that previous games established. Sorry for my language lol.

I hardly know anything about Assassin's Creed Origins and onward, but Assassin's Creed 1 is the only game in the series where I could beat it without using a map, especially mini-maps. The Assassin Bureau guy for each city gives you directions to clear your mandatory missions, but if you take some time to explore the area, you can find the others, too. The only maps I looked at were the snippets you get from the missions, and they give you enough information that you can easily recognize the area and work the mission without extra help. Assassin's Creed II through Syndicate basically require at least the mini-map because there's hardly ever any clear direction as to where the next missions are, any checkpoints areas during missions, or where your target is located. It's just, "Kill this guy." Where's the guy? Oh, he's on the OPPOSITE side of the city? Thanks for bloody well not telling me! It's really annoying. I enjoy playing games where my eyes are focused on the actual game, not glued to the mini-map.

I wouldn't mind getting a remastered version of the game for PS4. Or they could put it back on PlayStation Now. Stilling waiting for one of the 2 to happen. Maybe the remaster could adapt Assassin's Creed Ezio's Trilogy mechanics, like, air assassinations or hiding spot kills with easier climbing. When I say easier climbing, I don't mean like the current climbing these days with larger jumps up the wall, but more so to make it easier to get past certain beams in your way.

I always wondered how Altair (as he was in the start of the game) was allowed to become such an accomplished assassin if he was so narrowminded and obnoxious and totally out of sync with the Assassin's Creed. It takes him a rankstripping and a dozen assassinations before he starts to think (again) and realizes something is off. However, never does he admit he was full of himself and wrong, his flaws are just covered up or brushed off by the plot unfolding.

And that was my favourite thing about the franchise, yes Ezio is my favourite character but he's not the reason I kept play... Desmond & the role he played in the overarching story was the reason & now it's gone & the franchise is just a shell of its former self where every game can be considered "skippable" as the stories have no impact on the overall plot anymore. It's all self contained & throw away & in my opinion that's what the current series is lacking
