They went for mass appeal, it's a game for everyone, and they ended up with a game that will please very few. The thematic design of the game conflicts with everything about the series. It would be like making Smile 3, but now it's G rated for kids. It wouldn't work.

Almost everybody hates Taash i can tell you that, the game would automatically gain one point in the scale without that character if you ask me... That being said i agree with the points here, there are good aspects to this game if we are willing to give credit where is due.

@ no level recommendation notes for specific missions, I've done a ton of sidequests and had to retreat because bosses would be several levels over me. No indication on the story missions shutting out side missions. Having missions cross over with barely any warning, I was fighting a boss and accidentally unleashed a boss several levels over me. Party approval going up and down but no way to track where they stand with you. I can go on...

This game is more like a D&D game. Which isnt a bad thing. I wonder if the studio/devs were trying to catch some that BG3 gold? I can see why the old school DA fans would be frustrated.

Are you kidding? Ur trolling, right? This game is nothing like BG3. BG3 has great writing, characters, consequences to ur actions, and choices. So many choices how you can play the game. Hell, you can kill the bad guy and become the bad guy. Veilguard is a joke as an RPG. They even stripped it off the great crafting system in DAI. In no way is this game comparable to BG3.

I think the game is good and worth the money however you can tell they did enough to screw themselves out of a universal hit. My most hated feature is the prime & detonate being class based instead of abilities. It pushes you to make a mage-rogue-warrior team comp instead of bringing the 2 companions you like the most. My favorite feature is putting together a build isn't limiting. If you want a spellblade with evoker or death abilities you can.

I’ve hated every BioWare game. This is the first one I actually enjoy my time with. It’s not perfect, by any stretch, but it’s a fun time. Be mad, I hope you are, don’t buy it if you don’t like it
