Been retired almost 3 years. Every. Single. Day. Multiple times, I simply find joy in the idea that it's Saturday, and I smile or laugh to myself uncontrollably. For me, it's that simple. And I walk 6 miles a day while listening to KZbin videos like this one.

Thank you for this video. I am definitely a happy retiree. Each morning I spend some time in quiet, I am active, I travel, I am constantly learning new things and skills. I am also realizing how important it is to spend time with my loved ones. For the past few years, even before I retired, at the end of the day, I realize that I have one less day of my life on this earth. It's not morbid, just a realization that it is important how I spend my days and who I am as a person.

Once the number is met, financially speaking, finance seems to take a back burner. Emphasis on health is now key! Joining the gym, and actually participating is so, so important to a healthy retirement! Thanks for sharing your wisdom, James!

So much more than a financial channel. Good stuff.

Wow, I think this is one of the best videos youv'e done to date. Thank you! I must admit that I've been skeptical in the past about your motivation, but this one is truly a public service. If I was in the market for an AUM based advisor for me or my fam, you'd be on the top of my list. Nicely done!

James, I loved this! I love your explanation of Reflect at the beginning of the day. That concept will help me to get a focus on getting one or two things done instead of just looking at a long list. Thank you! I feel like I have 3 part time jobs: part time church secretary, part time travel planner, part time homemaker. Sometimes these are all overwhelming.

James- thank you for covering these aspects of retirement. Money, while super important going into retirement, is not all a good retirement needs. Your video ‘Four phases of retirement with Dr Riley Moynes’ was invaluably educational and eye opening.

Great video. I'm 47 and aiming to retire in the next few years. This video, along with many of the others you have done, have helped to make me think about the things beyond money that are essential for a fulfilling, purposeful, and happy life especially once the "distraction" of work is removed. Thank you!

Would love to see you discuss how a Roth IRA allows you to avoid some distributions and how that impacts sequence of return risk. Roth/No Roth is not always a clear choice, but being able to avoid or minimize distributions during a down market has value.

One thing I would really like to hear from you that is less retirement based, would be how to optimize taxes in traditional and Roth contributions prior to retirement. I am currently in my late 20s living in California and I’m having a hard time deciding between how much to contribute traditional versus roth

James, love your show, but wanted to call out how your most recent videos are coming across to me both on my mobile devices and on the TV. It looks like you are using either a bad AI or some different video cut sequences. The result is it makes your face, particularly your eyes very distracting and not at all human like. Just wanted to pass that along.
