What did you expect? you bought a Truck, you didn't buy a Cadillac also the back rest is designed that way to save you from whip lash. I put in one inch spacers on mine that did helped with the comfort. I have back issues so I would prefer more comfortable seats and I wish they were power seats for better adjustment. Other than that I'm super happy with my Tacoma. I have a 2014 Trd Sport. Have not had an issue with it once since new. I've owned many trucks and this has been the best truck I've ever owned. I'm not parting with it, I plan on keeping it for a very long time.

My major gripe with my 2015 TRD Sport is the telescoping steering wheel does not come back as far as it should. It should come toward the driver another inch or two for comfort. The seat bottom, as I mentioned in your '5 likes' sucks, at least for my rear. I added a kneeling pad under the Carhartt seat covers, which I added once I figured out how hard it was to clean the mesh.
@desertdime2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the 2nd Gen isn’t too big on fine tuning the driver seating position. It seems to be limited to the basics of sliding rail positions, reclining positions and an almost too low lumbar adjustment. Just gotta make do with what we got

@@desertdime Yep, I just bought the wife a new Highlander over a 4-runner for the exact reasons. The wheel on the Highlander comes back further. I'm a big guy (6'3"/240lbs), and I'm comfortable enough in my Tacoma to have 190Kmiles (mostly work), but for a comfortable car for vacation and such, I went for the more comfortable, and the AWD Highlander is plenty capable for what we need. Toyota trucks are pretty reliable vehicle is going to have good and the bad it's all personal preference on the person that owns the vehicle and what they like and don't like about it. Tacomas have plenty of power to go off-roading and you will hardly get stuck my friend has a 2015 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with a 5-inch lift and 35" tires and he practically go over mostly anything without getting stuck. Toyota Tacomas also hold their value very well
@Ka3Ty Жыл бұрын
2014 Tacoma come with a stainless-steel exhaust likely to last the full term of your truck which is so much better than my 94 pickup that's needed 2 exhaust replacement in 29 years of owning. Aftermarket parts are not a Toyota issue. Those side handles are nice for getting into the truck. I don't care about usb ports. Mine has a bench seat and no rear seat so the other two problems don't exist either. My complaints I have are real, when adjusting the seat to drive in the perfect spot so you reach the pedals, then try getting in on the passenger side keeping the seat where it is, there is not enough room to get in, your knees hit the glove and dash, meaning you can't have a passenger as tall as the driver. My 14 base 4wd model only gets 21 mpg and is 3850 pounds, when my 2wd 94 gets 32 mpg. The 2014 4wd drives like a Cadillac compared to the 20 year older 2wd, so I find the bench seat as it's only big flaw and would like to see it smaller and more fuel efficient.

For starters, the tires, the gas mileage, and how it's not as powerful as a full size truck on 8 cylinders and either costs just about as much or even less than these Tacomas. Bigger off-road tires aren't cheap, and since gas prices fluctuate in price from time to time it's also not always a financially sound decision.
