I had the same problem with water getting into my trunk. I replaced the tail light gaskets with ones from the acura dealership and that seemed to solve the trunk flooding

just sold my rsx 2 weeks ago for a tsx, as for why your rear taillights all you need is new taillight gaskets easy install and only like $10 for the pair

I have an '03 type S, and I hate: 1. Hitting any bump over one half inch tall. 2. Squeeks & Rattles (damn aftermarket motor mounts) 3. Power steering lag on cold days. 4. Very little heat on cold days. 5. Wide tires rubbing fender lining.

Integra4life if you take off all your aftermarket shit and put a new thermostat you will fix 4 of 5 of those problems...

I had a water leak in my trunk and i put sealer where the light seals to the body,not around the black plastic edge.

clean rsx man, i put black electric tape over my airbag/abs lights. I also could of just removed the lights, but the tape was easier lol. Can't even notice it.

I have just bought those same side skirt extensions and was wondering how did you install them and was it hard at all ???

CSserratos Not its not hard at all mine came in white so i painted them black and then the just screw onto your factory sideskirts super easy just dont over tighten because if they are fiberglass you will crack them

Elian Motors thanks yea I was thinking about drilling out some holes then. Bolting them up to the factory side skirts did you have any problem with them after install

My rsx looked like this except i had mugen side skirts chargespeed lip and mugen rear and I didn’t swap badges never liked the idea...we all know it’s a Honda so I like the idea of it being called something else in a different part of the world but basically the same

250k on mine still runs like a champ to 8k however due to mileage I'm planning a rebuild soon seems I drive 1k miles a week (oil changes every month) and Jesus Christ what happened to your seat mine almost look brand new and I live in the south where it's hot and humid 80% of the year

Elian Motors Oh sorry i ment the front diffuser i purchased the same one and have the same front setup you have but the one i bought didnt really fit. I heard i had to take a heat gun to it and bend it a little but i didnt wana risk it.

oh the splitter, I didn't have to much modification, I just lined up the center of both and screwed it on with the screws provided. I bought a 2005-2006 sti front lip. the sides i forced up and also put a screw thru it. I had to trim a little bit off the end of the sti lip for it to sit flush because it had about an inch of over hang on each side.

I have almost the same miles just about 300 miles less also got a engine light for 02 sensor lol I also got a nrg steering wheel but no air back light so idk what the previous owner did to take that off Evan had water in trunk but just fixed it with silicone because previous owner did the 05/06 convention on my 04 rsx but did it wrong

Elian Motors Im looking at getting an rsx for a first car, I can afford a base over a type s. Are there major differences between the two trims, I can always upgrade the base over time

TheYunqGamer the biggest difference is the motor and transmission the type s comes with only a 6 speed manual and the base model you can choose from an auto to a 5 speed manual. But if you find a clean 5 speed manual base model you wont regret it. And the engine both are k series motors just that the type s makes a little bit more power. In other words if you can afford it buy a type s if you cant buy a base model you wont regret buying it.

Julia Adkins the charge speed lip is nice but its too short for the mugen front. The sti lip fits pretty much perfectly

On that badly worn seat, have you investigated removing the seat and have it redone? Those all wear prematurely in my opinion...let me know if you have any luck that? ..OR I am sure you have thought to get a good one from a wrecking yard...But we both know that would be expensive... another option is to get some very cool seat covers

At 140 kph and higher the spoiler helps to stabilise the rear end when braking and making an initial turn in. I have personally noticed that at quite high speeds 200+ kph when you have some elevation changes going on it will keep the rear end down and counter the floaty factor of the lighter rear damper rebound. This was even with Aspec shocks and Tein H tech springs so I can only imagine how much it helps on a Basic OEM suspension package.
