Some old lady straight up bought a rock out of my landscaping once... i would have kept it, but i was caught way off guard by the fact that somebody wanted to buy a rock....

I live in neighborhood with white, Mexican and African American people. My best friend in the world is my neighbor Tyrell, we met at my yard sale...Josh ain’t lying. Other than the fact he’s a Rams fan, we realized that we were brothers from day 1. My Mexican neighbors are the masters of the garage sale game! They throw one every couple of months, got carne asada and Corona for sale too!! Our street is how American should be, different races, different religions, but damn...we can get down at a Friday night garage party!

The last yard sale I had, a person came looking for corner tv stand. So I took them to the window of my son's room and pointed at the corner tv stand and asked "like that?" She said "exactly like that" So I went in and cleaned it off/out and sold it to her. My son had to watch his tv while it sat on the floor, but I made a sale....

Sounds about right.

#6: To get a really good deal is to learn how to "bundle". Most of these people want to off load what they're selling.

Hell Josh. You come to Texas and we’ll make sure to tell you to hit up our neighbors yard sale on your way out. We tend to visit each other’s ourselves. Might even buy something from them.

Went with a friend he ended up buying a puppy, another guy bought a bunch of chickens and a rooster (to be fair it was a blue ribbon winner rooster. The guy built a hen house that very day- - no plans on that- the wife was happy, the kids loved them, crazy what you see.

My mom had simple rules about things being sold at our yard sales. Everything was CLEAN, Everything WORKED, Everything was COMPLETE, from buttons and belts on clothes, to accessories (AND sometimes instruction manuals. And extra bags for an upright vacuum cleaner), and Everything had to look good. Prices were negotiable. This wasn't an Estate or Antique sale, even if something was technically an Antique, it was reasonably priced. Negotiations were because she wanted the item GONE. Get it out of our house, sell it to someone who might want/need it. I miss Flea Markets and haggling over prices.

Yard sales and estate sales are serious business for some people. Watch your back and be prepared to play price hard ball.
@stickerlady17743 жыл бұрын
How does one learn how to get good at that?
@cavtroopermunoz3 жыл бұрын
@@stickerlady1774 Lots and lots of practice. Do research about the items you're looking for and know what the market will bear. Be prepared to start walking away. That's usually when the bargain is struck or if another buyer walks away you can usually start negotiating at the price they walked away from. Sellers want to make money, not have the same items that they started with.

@grimdevotee94323 жыл бұрын
#7 If you see a woman (usually the wife or the mother) shake her head or nod her head to the man who is selling the items will determine if you get a good deal or not.
