So is already being Incorporated into farming. At least large farms. And self driving tractors were around before the car. I have a friend that sells these systems to farms and the technology that is being intergarted into farming is quite impressive. At the same time it is causing smaller family owned farms to disappear.

I live in rural PA. I have a BS and work on computers. I get up every morning about 6:30 and goto my home office and log into work. Around 4 ish in the afternoon I wrap up and go "home". My neighbor, who has an MS or two, gets up 4 ish, plays with animals all day and when the sun sets, plays with equipment all evening, then gets home late and eats. From time to time we chat about our choices. He could never be inside in an office every day and I can never be outside in whatever weather it happens to be. We both love our jobs and have absolutely no envy towards each other!

For any of you who may need to know, the part about an animal being green also applies to horses. If somebody says that a horse is green/unbroken, do not even try to approach it.

That is where the term "shave tail" comes from because the Army used to shave the tails of green horses and mules to identify the green animals

Only one patch of trees and that was on the other side of the bull. My uncle asked me to take his instamatic camera and take that bull’s pic and I could enter it into the fair. No just imagine what happened next. That’s country life on a farm. 🤣😂. And yes, I was later on the track team. Lol

Omg!!! You are sooo funny! Farmer here. I love it when city folks come to "help" me. I know it's going to be a day of laughter. A little more info for you that you may or may not know. Hogs are omnivores. That means they eat vegetables AND MEAT. Including humans. They can crunch a human bone very easily. So be wary of domestic hogs and stay as far away from wild hogs as possible. Wild hogs grow tushes (extra long teeth) and they will rip a human to shreds if cornered. A cow being "green" also has another meaning. It also means she has diarrhea. And when she has that, when she discharges her waste, it's like a firehose and the range can be up to 10 feet behind her. Also that tail is a natural manure spreader. In some instances, same range, as well as a wet nasty whip. When a horse lays back it's ears, be careful. When any farm animal lowers it's head, male or female, get outta its way. When it paws the ground, be very careful. These are just a few tips. Btw, never say never about being a farmer. If economy and diesel shortage happens, you might want those farming skills, knowledge and farmer friends. If you keep helping them and you make them laugh, you got a friend for life through thick and thin. Don't give up on farming. If you ever up here in Tennessee, look me up and I will help with your agriculture education and feed you fresh steak, hamburger and vegetables. I absolutely love your channel. Keep us laughing! I wish I knew you personally. Regards, William

Dear Ma and Pa: I am well. Hope you are. Tell Brother Walt and Brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before all of the places are filled. I was restless at first because you get to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m. But I am getting so I like to sleep late. Tell Walt and Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot, and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing. Men got to shave but it is not so bad, there's warm water. Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc., but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie and other regular food, but tell Walt and Elmer you can always sit by the two city boys that live on coffee. Their food, plus yours, holds you until noon when you get fed again. It's no wonder these city boys can't walk much. We go on "route marches," which the platoon sergeant says are long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it's not my place to tell him different. A "route march" is about as far as to our mailbox at home. Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks. The sergeant is like a school teacher. He nags a lot. The Captain is like the school board. Majors and colonels just ride around and frown. They don't bother you none. This next will kill Walt and Elmer with laughing. I keep getting medals for shooting. I don't know why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk head and don't move, and it ain't shooting at you like the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie there all comfortable and hit it. You don't even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes. Then we have what they call hand-to-hand combat training. You get to wrestle with them city boys. I have to be real careful though, they break real easy. It ain't like fighting with that ole bull at home. I'm about the best they got in this except for that Tug Jordan from over in Silver Lake . I only beat him once. He joined up the same time as me, but I'm only 5'6" and 130 pounds and he's 6'8" and near 300 pounds dry. Be sure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry and join before other fellers get onto this setup and come stampeding in. Your loving daughter, Alice

If you know you've come in contact with poison ivy, (ie. your arms) Hold your arm over the sink or bathtub, slowly pour vinegar over your arms and leave it on your skin for a minute or two. Wash off with hot water and lots of soap. If you develop a rash with 'bubbles', use something like a popsicle stick and scratch! (be sure to throw out the stick or whatever) Again, slowly pour vinegar over the rash and let it sit for a minute or two, then wash. Peroxide may help too.
