@@jurjenvanderhoek316 well we are talking about a 91 yo laddy, pascal is very close to normal speaking that helps with the part of getting to know how to think with logic. Python is a much more powerful language that can be used to do actual tasks other than just a learning tool. At least here university will teach java, c and assembly. Being java the actual learning tool. I wouldn't consider something like Python, c or c++ good learning tools because they are low level they are harder to understand and you will work with memory.

I was watching this video signed out late at night, was tired, and didn't care enough to give the video a like, but when 8:29 played, I thought it was the most creative and hysterical thing (to literally lecture viewers for a whole minute into liking the video). If this were for a really big KZbin channel, I'd have never done it (because they're superficial), but to support a small, growing channel like Clement's? I couldn't have felt better giving this informative video a well deserved like!

Its funny though, most people wouldnt even smash the like button even if theyre really fascinated by the video, unless theyre told by the creator himself. Likes go up when you ask people to do it, its a proven fact.

Use Algoexpert to prepare for coding interview " I would stop using leet code cause I like Clement" 4. Start with Javascript " I would say python for easy start" but "Starting with C++ is like clamping a hill. All the other languages will be going down the hill" 5. There is no difference between Software developer and software engineer they all code. 6. Know the terms used in the industry like " APIs " The order is messed up but yeah. Very informative! Error reports on Linux are way more helpful that an error code in windows where you have to Google it and still might not understand what it means. Installing dependencies is also so much easier on Linux which may actually be perfect for a beginner if they take some time to learn Linux OS basics first

Amazon also has System Development Engineers. You could make a case that while they could reasonably describe themselves with the more colloquial term "Software Developer", it would be disingenuous for them to call themselves "Software Engineers", which is a more technical term, because their role is distinctly different from that of an actual Software Development Engineer at Amazon. You could make the same argument about Google Site Reliability Engineers, Facebook Production Engineers. or other people who perform jobs that require them to write code but are distinctly different from the job of a software engineer, such as SDETs.

I'm not at all a violent person and I think that if you can't say something nice then you shouldn't say anything at all, but if anyone ever says to me that there's such a thing as being too old to start coding then I'll call them a fool and I'll smash their dislike button (even if they are not on KZbin 😁). I'm forty-two and teaching myself data science (which means I'm teaching myself coding too.) I might start to look old, but mentally I feel I'm growing younger. 😊 Great video, as usual. BTW, in that segment from 6:20 something to 6:30 something you said "no" nineteen times and "noes" one time. 😁

Age is not a thing. If anything, with age we get a bit smarter about making career decisions and can focus better. I'm almost 45 and I'm getting into coding after a 20-year break (always worked with computers, though). It's like riding a bike, although a very buggy one.
@BiancaAguglia5 жыл бұрын
@@MatiasBaldanza Even if it's theoretically impossible, I 200% agree with you. 😁Age has a way of making us smarter, wiser, more focused, and more grateful. (It can also make us grumpier, but that's a different story.) Also, you know what? Buggy old bikes can take us much further than any shiny, fancy, "smart" bike we keep in our garage thinking we're too old to ride it. 😉 Best wishes with your coding. Sounds to me like you already have the right attitude about it. There'll be plenty of headaches and bruises, I'm sure, but you'll fun have getting the most mileage out of that bike. 😊

I just turned 35 after running *away* from development/coding haha. I learned some growing up, some in college, some when I worked at Apple in the mid 2000’s… then I went for perceived safety in a career in Finance. Welp… now I’m back! I can’t wait to keep learning. Thank you so so much for this video! 😎

Lol love this video. More than anything those of us who have given it a try and failed a time or four lack perspective. I really wanted to grasp the principles and concepts separately so I could see the meta and plan without having to learn a specific language. That's not very doable right now, but this video is an example of the kind of mental context I was lacking that was hanging heavy on my processor.

So I searched it on KZbin and I’m glad that’s the first thing you started off with. Thanks.

I am 14 years old and learning how to code😁,I want to become a full stack developer 😀
@SpotterGr4 жыл бұрын
Its really nice to see that you started but if i may suggest something as a developer of over 20 years: full stack does not exist anymore... the development world has grown so much that it makes no sense to be a full stack dev. If you do become one you will get stuck at small companies that cannot afford an IT department and you will be forced to do "everything". This will not really help you move forward. I would strongly suggest that you do gather generic knowledge and then focus on at least a "category" of development. My two cents, happy coding!
