Good tip$ I like the way that you mention per mile average or minimum, everyone is so obsessed with how much they make per hour but more attention needs to be paid to the miles that you put on your vehicle

Good tips, especially about calling ahead if a red card order. I don't know about having 30 -60 seconds to accept the order though. My experience in San Diego is more like 10-15 seconds before they tell me it has been reassigned .

I also use the drivers utility helper app on android as well, it gives me a heads up display of the per mile rate, average time it takes to complete and the address for pickup and delivery. Lots of useful tools that helps me make as much as possible while dashing.

You are great ! Thanks ! New driver and doing things okay so far, yet know I will encounter issues and these ideas help to feel more prepared! I've had to use my own judgement on a few orders I didn't do perfect and I believe the customers ended up happy! I also showed up to a McDonald's 15 miles away on time and they said no doordash after 10..followed procedure..took photo of restaurant closed sign and at least was paid half. I was a bit upset but learned my lesson on distance and closing times etc...

It is so much easier to just place fast food red card orders in the drive thru. No fast food restaurant accepts orders over the phone...just saying

I only accept prepaid orders and avoid fast food orders since tips are almost non existent.

door dash is now worse that before. i started door dash right after shut down. hot spot parking lot was always empty. as time goes by it started to fill up. now it full. i stopped recently no bonuses anymore. all the recently unemployed are doing rideshare. it is oversaturated in my area.
