I’m 63 and still wear a few top-quality, neutral, classic items that I bought in my 20s. Toteme is great for modern, unique and special, but timeless, design, but I wouldn’t spend that much for that particular jacket. I think the asymmetry and the fringe will look dated in a few years and it’s not a versatile style. I would have loved it if it didn’t have that fringe on one side. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to rain on your parade, I know you really love it and think it’s timeless, so enjoy it!🙂

My apologies, I couldn’t see the jacket properly, the camera cuts off the bottom of it in your video (it would be good to give us a full-length view of each item). I went to the link for a better view and I can see that it’s not asymmetrical at all, it looked like the front hem had fringe on one side, but I see now that it’s only on the scarf ends. Yes, I do think it’s timeless! For me, high-quality natural-fiber fabric and excellent construction are the most important things of all. If a garment doesn’t have these, I drop it from consideration, no matter how appealing the style, color, etc. Price is the least important criterion, I would rather have one perfect top-quality item like this than 10 polyester ones. I don’t accept that any polyester or acrylic garment is good-quality, these are cheap plastics with no good characteristics accept low price. Every time I’ve compromised and got a synthetic-blend garment, it languishes in my closet because I can’t stand actually wearing it. I do love Tencel and similar plant-fiber fabrics, too, the “manmade celoulosic fibers”. They have most of the qualities of natural fabrics,” like breathability and softness. Quality is really important for these, though, thin, cheap fast-fashion viscose uses a highly-toxic, cyanide-based manufacturing process and tends to be thin, limp, puckery and prone to excessive shrinkage. It’s doesn’t always iron well, eithrr.

I actually find good quality polyester to be a positive thing - it drapes well.
