You did pretty good lad. Lol. My late wife was Irish. Im scotch-Irish. You hit the nail on the head mate. I was a wildlamd fire fighter for 2 years before i married my late wife. She didnt like I was gone all the time and her dad was my chief. So she signed up and insisted that she be on my crew. She was by far one of the most reliable fire fighters I have ever had the privilege of serving with in my entire 14 year carreer. She made a marine combat vet cry day one on the line of his first fire because he got tired and she called him a pussy amd told him to get back in line as she kept digging right on past him at double his speed. He stopped at least 10 times and she never did. He literaly started crying and said he cant do it and would rather be shot at in a war zone than try and keep up with her. Lol. It was funny as shit man. And yes oir family history is extremely important to us. We are nothing without those that came before us. So we value family above all else and learn oir heritage and history. The plaid in oir kilts is actually the history of our entire family and clan. It tells which families were are linked to and which clans. It tells our jobs and status in the community, region and country. We value by far inner strength and beauty over the external. Thats why most of us dudes are ugly as sin but find it easy to make friends for life. Because we may look like we were tossed in a bag full of roxks and hurled off a cliff. But we survived that shit and came back for more. Oir women are exactly the same way only They look amazimy.

I'm part Irish and I agree with this. We will keep up with drinking and often times drink you under the table. We love our Whiskey. We have a temper like no other. We hold grudges, know how to throw guilt and most of us are very frugal. And Seamus couldn't keep up which is why he's gone. We also do NOT like being told what to do. And my family came to Canada before coming to the US, from Belfast.
