That is not true as I am a 50+ year Idaho native. I meet Dr's that left California because they were not allowed to make money as they saw fit. If by women's health care, you mean abortion, then sure we are quite pro-life compared to California.

What is the median income in Idaho and what is the average income in Idaho?

According to most current income statistics for Idaho from the US Census Bureau, the Median income for Idaho is $70,214 and the average income is $92,780. I also found that we were first in the nation for Median income growth % (with California coming in 2nd, and Oregon 3rd).

True, it gets pretty cold in the winter! Luckily we really get all four seasons- my favorite version of the "beach" here is to head to the Boise River, or one of our lakes or reservoirs during the summer when we average around 90 degrees.

I don’t get it you don’t think people know old is before they move there. surely the people who move there because the politics they’re more conservative than the people who live there. I’m hoping more Californians will leave. I love to live in the nicest part of Central California but those people are not leaving. Why would they because it’s beautiful.

right? :) I actually have great memories of growing up with a wood stove as a child but they for sure can produce SO much air pollution. I know that the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality recommends upgrading to newer models that are EPA certified (they produce about 50-70% less emissions!). They offer tax incentives/rebates for upgrading. There are also times when they put "burn bans" into place, although I think that mainly affects outdoor burning.

ackshully, the *only* thing you really need to know before you move here: don't try to change Idaho. let Idaho change you. don't bring the politics that ruined a once beautiful and thriving california to Idaho because you risk turning it into California. Then you will simply need to run away again. Stop running by stop ruining

What does a 2 bedroom house cost in Idaho?

That depends on where in Idaho you are looking! Here in Ada County (Boise and surrounding cities), the median sold price for 2-bedrooms over the last 90 days was $406,000 (lowest price was $235k). In our neighboring county, Canyon, the median sold price for 2 beds was $270,000. These numbers would likely be lower in more rural counties. Hope that helps!
