Nice overview! Thanks! Can we patch an envelope to LFO speed? Also I've found that Osc2->Osc1 FM is quite limited in power. Can it be changed via preset settings? Maybe it's in plans? P.S. I do like how it sounds in mono mixer. But it would be awesome to have a stereo version with pan spreading options. It's just plus ~16 VCAs... IMO there are plenty of space for this. Also having the multitimbral feature (like 4 or 8 parts in the best case) with separate outputs would be awesome. I like this size and I think that it could be done on the back or on the front panel (near knobs) using stereo 3.5mm jack outputs. I'm not sure how is it technically but it's almost there. Just need more programming, more diving in the menu, maybe an additional "shift" button as the numbers are finite. I think that people will be paying +200$ for this easily. And Chinese SMD LM13700 are pretty cheap (especially in batches). One LM13700 = one stereo voice. Some more OpAmps (not of the best quality, even some "garbage" "overdrive" opamps will be cool enough) for mixing maybe and it still will not take much space AFAIK. I really hope that Uli will _hear_ this and make a new fully loaded poly-synth that will be compact sized. It's a unique opportunity in the whole synth. market IMHO!

Hey, thanks for your detailed comment! We you. LFO-speed: Controlling the LFO speed with an envelop isn't possible (yet) at this time of writing. We doubt that it will get in there, but all we would add to this is, that this is possible via CC via a DAW, like @bitwig Studio for example. Stereo: Although we warmly welcome this, we still think you will have to deal with heat problems. Also, if it has to be real (fixed) stereo, perhaps just buy a second one and polychain them, not that it is possible via the firmware (yet). @@SolidtraxNL Thanks for the answer! LFO speed: it's a good idea! I've used a similar trick for Neutron and Model D when I've need additional modulations. Of course it would be much better on the hw preset level. Stereo pan/spread: I doubt that it will cause any heat issues. LM13700N (Texas Instruments) specs: Power dissipation (at 25°C) 570 mW maximum; Supply current IABC = 500 μA, both channels 2.6 mA. 4.56W max - it's almost like nothing. I think it will not need even small radiators. Thanks for the video! Yeah, it sounds great. And takes x2 more space )) Not talking about money but I try to minimize my setup's gear size.

@@KiR_3d You are welcome! Thank you with regards of the VCA-chip (OpAmp) info. Hopefully @behringer or other syntesizer companies us and will release something like it in the future. Another thing you could try is record your take (once or) twice and (double it) then pan the sound left and right (or to your taste) for a more stereo feel. But for live use, two synths is the way to go for now.

It couldn't be done with a stereo synth as the right and the left sides were tweaked live. P.S. if to be precise: LM13700 is OTA (not a usual OpAmp). ​@@KiR_3d another solution to your stereo woes, as thes is Eurorack compatible, would be to buy a simple "stereoizer" module (or VST plugin, even) that converts mono→stereo with all of the necessary panning AND phase-matching stuff required for true stereo emulation. Some modules of this type also offer CV control over parameters like the amount of width/spread in the stereo field, modulatable panning, phase flipping, etc. - and this could obviously be applied to any mono synth, as well!

Another thing i like about it is most of the menu-dive functions can be controlled by midi. The CC numbers are in the manual so you can set up a midi controller with dials to select LFO shapes, tuning spread, release speeds etc super fast (like the keystep 37 is this video or my Akai MPK249)

@@stoatystoat174 great tip mate! We do this also, but within our DAW for just a few CC's. Also, if you patch this non-stop for 8 to 40 hours depending on experience, you will fly through the menus!

Maybe overthinking years ahead but the old school number pad looks like it might be the first thing to break and harder to replace than a pot, so I try not to use it too much if there's a work around 🤗cheap skate 🛼

thx for the vid! is there a vintge mode like the prophets, or can it be emulateds with the unison/spread feature? like, does it spread the notes off note, and can it be done in the regular mode so that if u then play a chord, they are slightly off tune in relation to each other? I think a true vintage feature could be easily implemented in a FW update..

Thanks for stopping by! To my knowledge there is no vintage mode. I agree that they could add that in a firmware update, but I am not sure that will happen as they release so many synths nowadays. Yeah, that is the one feature that is lacking for now. Perhaps Behringer will put that in one day, but we doubt it! But you could use a DAW like Bitwig or Ableton and an internal LFO of these DAW's to either use MIDI-CC control or control via Control Voltages to at least control the filter.

@@SolidtraxNL clock synced synth tremolos are a big part of my band's sound. I sync my keys with my drummer's pads. I run the pro 800 into my keyboard, through its effects, or I use a synced tremolo pedal. It does the job but I'd rather just use the LFO

I’ve seen this exact comment on a Behringer synth a lot recently so I decided to check. They are in stock from their US distributor. I get that a lot of people hate Behringer but spreading misinformation reflects poorly on those making the comments

They're often not easy to buy when they're first promoted on YT, and they go in and out of stock a lot, but if you're patient you can usually find one, eventually. Thomann in Germany and Andertons, in the UK, are two of the main distributors and they ship internationally. I'd suggest trying Thomann first because a bigger part of their business is international sales, so they're probably better at it.
