As a college graduate who is now in grad (law) school, I would say that you *should* take a few classes/make a connection with 1-3 professors. You will most likely not "make friends" with your professors, but you should definitely make sure a few are willing to speak highly of you (it will make your life as a college junior/senior applying to jobs or grad schools MUCH easier)!

Definitely get to know your professors! They may seem intimidating, but they are legitimately so nice when you get to know them. I remember my Calculus professor seemed really impersonal, but once I started talking to him, he was so sweet! He even told me he was always excited to see me because I was the only student who ever visited him during office hours and showed him I cared.

I definitely think it's a good thing and good advice, I just was saying I didn't and it was still fine. Like I expected that everyone would get to know their professors but that wasn't my case! But yeah you probably should get to know them! Haha

1. Buy a planner (balance between hang out and collage life) 2. Set your own goals (fitness like healthy living) 3. Bring your laptop everywhere 4. No one cares in collage (collage and high school is different, people even wore their pajama, no dresscode) 5. The truth about your professor ( its very hard to “make friend” with professor, you could make a group study instead)

I haven’t really had any relationships with my professors but definitely the TAs! For where I go, the TAs handle most of the grading anyways so it was more important to talk to them. TAs are wayyy more personable in my opinion than professors and are easier to get along with!!

I am a sophomore at Lee University!! Honestly, one of the best aspects of the school I go to is that the class sizes are smaller and the professors genuinely care about you. Being a Christian institution, several of my classes start with taking prayer requests, and through that my professors got to know all the students in their classes and asked about those requests later on. My professors are honestly incredible and I have such a good relationship with them! So don’t always count that out!!

I just graduated from a small private college and same Natalie! I didn’t “befriend” any of my professors. My college was super clique-y and the professors were part of those cliques lol I swear they were only friendly to certain groups of students because of that!

One of my majors was music so I had the same professors for several classes /I guess were in classes that in general forced you to get to know the professor. Or maybe music professors are just more personable. My other major was physics and some classes were smaller/had a couple of repeat professors so again, got to know them a bit. Gen Ed classes I don't remember their names lol.
