@@thedude4594 Not really, it allows you to make meals with the stats you want. When fighting lynels, I always use a 3 star defense potion cooked during a blood moon, same with farming guardians. you can make attack, defense, stealth, speed, stamina, fireproof, shockproof, freeze proof potions etc. I hated it at first but it allows you to make and carry what you want specifically, when you want it.

I found it way easier just to hoard food that regens stamina and grabbing heart containers than increasing stamina first. Personally consider getting stamina first to be highly overrated. Also you need 13 hearts at least for the master sword, unless you use the glitch with annoyingly specific camera angle.

Personally, for beginning players, I recommend Mipha's grace first because we die a lot in this game. It cuts down the death ratio stopping you from restarting. Plus its the closest beast from kakariko village and hateno lab. And the enemies are at a low tier. Building zora armor takes no rupees. And map towers are easier to unlock. Its basically the beast with the least obstacles.

What I do right after the Great Plateau: 1) Climb all the way up to the top of Dueling Peaks and beat all of the shrines on them. The Shee Vaneer shrine is a great launching point to almost anywhere in the province. 2) Head straight over to Faron Tower and activate it. There is a ledge right next to it that is LOADED with hearty durians. One dish made of five hearty durians gives you 20 extra hearts, so I cook up a couple dozen to pad my health while I blitz stamina expansions. 3) Grab a flameblade, some wood, and a phrenic bow and dash over to Farosh's spring. Spam horn shards until you're blue in the face, and then you have money for days.

At night there's stal lizaflos that'll drop Lizal bows. If the Lord of the Mountain is there, then there's Blupees everywhere as well as rare bugs and critters. Oh, and there's a respawning diamond. After I clean the place out, I glide off, grab a horse and head for Dueling Peaks stable.

A few things I've picked up from my replays: You really should do hearts first, since you need 13 to pull the master sword. That's either 40 shrines without doing any of the divine beasts, or minus 4 shrines off that tally for each divine beast you clear, to as little as 24 shrines. You really want that sword as quick as you can get it. You can always churn a bunch of crickets into potions if you really need to refill your stamina in the middle of a climb or something. When cooking, you can make meals that fully restore health or stamina by using a single ingredient that adds yellow hearts or stamina. Durians, radishes, anything that says Hearty will make a full-health dish by itself, and endura carrots or shrooms will similarly make full stamina refill dishes with a single ingredient. Apples and meat are good for roasting, as you can carry hundreds of roasted somethings in a single cooking inventory slot, which saves space and gives you a way to quickly heal chip damage so you can get back to using the master sword's throw attack. Always keep a hammer and a torch handy, you'll pretty much always need them for breaking rocks and boxes or lighting fires. The moment you get a fire weapon, replace the torch with that and keep it undamaged so you can use it to light fires anytime without needing to strike flint. Since utility weapons take up melee slots, always expand your melee weapon inventory first before the other inventories. Buying the stealth suit from Kakariko village is the best thing you can do with your money right off the bat. It's excellent to have on at all times, as you will always have opportunities to hunt and forage for potion fodder and meat that you can cook for profit. It also makes sneakstrikes very easy to pull off, letting you easily wipe out enemy encampments at night or knock out an isolated patrol without a fight. It's even better than the zora armor for catching fish since it's stealthier in the water, too. The four environmental hazards are heat, fire, cold, and lightning. Make it a high priority to have something on hand to deal with these hazards right away. The armor sets for these (desert voe, flamebreaker, snowquill, and rubber suit) should be sought out quickly, but elixers are worth having even after you pick up the clothes, as they allow you to wear the stealth suit in these inhospitable environments, making foraging much easier.

@SunnyHikikOmori 2 жыл бұрын
@@addisonreyna04 you probably already know by now, but there's an easier method glitch that was discovered to get master sword early. You just place a campfire near the pedestal and wait until morning. Then you constantly spam tap A after the screen loads in order to pick up the sword before it fully loads in. The master sword in that state acts like any item and can be picked up normally. This means you won't have the extra weapon slot but can be easily fixed once you get 13 hearts and pick up the now invisible sword. Watching link struggle to pick up air is hilarious though

The beginning of the video is accurate. I am not a huge single player game fan but decided to give BotW a try last week... I think I've played over 10 hours per day since then... Sometimes I just go to do one or two parts of the main story but then end up getting sidetracked by an armour upgrade or side quest where I spend 3 hours without realising hunting for Lizfano tails... Help 😢

You`re doing fine. In this game, the player has a lot of freedom to do whatever they want. Getting sidetracked by a minor thing is good for gaining skill and self confidence. When I was brand new to the game, I spent a lot of time farming the wild without doing any kind of quests or dungeons. I have zero regrets. It takes a while to get used to the basic mechanics. Once you get used to farming lizalfos, you can move one to shrines and side quests. Then you can go from there.

I played through by the story on my first time, Zora, Goron, Rito, Gerudo, Ganon, and it was a blast, but then I started a new file and messed around. You can open some places without instructions (Hateno Tower, don't talk to Pura first) and get a different cut scene, and you can even ignore Impa until the divine beasts are done. I would say, after the plateau, go for Faron tower fast, that gets you the trove of hearty durians, meaning you don't need much else when it comes to food save stamina elixirs and ability boosts. I do still go for the Master Sword fast too, but once you have it, use The Cursed Statue in Hateno to trade hearts for stamina. Finally, I do grab Revali's Gale fast, as mentioned here, as it is a MAJOR help for the rest of the game, just to get Gerudo and Akala towers it's amazing.

From my POV on Master Mode I usually go for Mipha's Grace because: 1- Going to Kakariko to ver the climbung bandana, expand weapon Stash, unlock Great Fairy and get an easier access to Hateno to improve the Sheikah Slate. 2- Zora Suit is overall better than the other 3 "regional sets" because of the stamina ecomomy while swimming and easier exploration of lands that have waterfalls (and none of the 3 parts needs your money) + getting Sheikah Set from Kakariko, One of the bests Neutral Sets to explore the world randomly. 3- Mipha's Grace at the beginning is Very useful since the enemies becomes stronger (silver/gold) after each Main Mission Completed and allows to Focus on Stamina Upgrade. 4- The Path that leads to Zora's Kingdom is filled with treasures and enemies that drops arrows, you can have more than 100 arrows easily without spending rupees 5- Sidon is such a Great Husbando OMG

@@slungellife 40 rupees per container/vessel. Since the premise of the comment I replied to said you could max stamina, switch it to hearts when you got to the master sword, then switch it back...it actually comes to a bit more than 40 rupees. Just one full switch is 20 rupees per vessel to container. That's 200 rupees for one full switch. To switch it back, that's another 200 rupees. So in total, you run around with 3 hearts and max stamina, paying 400 rupees for your Master Sword, while I will run around with 13 hearts and 2.5 stamina wheels while choosing to only pay the 200 rupees once. It's a gameplay style choice, however, it's far easier to find less stamina costly routes than waste an extra 200 rupees needlessly.

Learn the locations of endura carrots and cook them up. These will help ensure that you don't suddenly run out out stamina. Endura carrots can be found at all fairy fountains, Mt. Satori and on a ledge near the center of the southern most part of the map. They will respawn every time a blood moon occurs so you can go back to the locations and get more of them. Hearty Durians are another thing that you should learn to farm early on. They can be found on Mt. Satori and a ledge just south of the tower in the rain forest area. There are more hearty durians on another ledge above the first one but you need Ravali's gale or a lot of stamina to get to the 2nd ledge. Cook up 5 hearty durians and you will get a meal that will give you a ton of hearts when you need them.

I find that most mountains have "some" form of cliff every once in a while where you can stand on and with even a little bit of stamina you can climb many mountains by waiting on anything that remotely looks like you can stand on. Sometimes it's only a few pixels, it seems. It also seems that climbing diagonally can sometimes use less stamina. It takes longer obviously but it also changes the perspective and allows you to look for said "cliffs". Generally, slightly less steep walls also use less stamina and are often worth the additional time by simply not falling down and having to start over.

I got this game for Christmas. I wanted to try a zelda game for maybe the past year or so bc I love puzzles. I love puzzley things and stuff that gets you to try different stuff. I've never been a big gamer or a fighting game person. I know I had games growing up but my brother was always far better at them. Anyway, I have really loved playing it. It's a great escape from my day-to-day rn. I'm so intrigued by the lore and details I keep learning from the internet. I think I wouldn't ever learn them jsut playing the game. I went in totally blind and I'd definitely recommend doing so for the first playthrough of it. I have picked up stuff or had to search up a few things here and there when I'm super stumped or lost in the map but otherwise it's more satisfying figuring it out as I go. Its such a pretty game, too. In my head I keep thinking about it in comparison to the other stuff on my switch atm - animal crossing, pokemon scarlet(playing with my bro who has violet), legends arceus(also with the bro), and cult of the lamb - which it's a little funny bc theyre so similar and very very different. I've been craving a kirby game lately, last I played it was super star ultra on DS. I'm totally rambling, just having a ton of memories about playing stuff with my brother on the wii and a few ds things. I also have a.d.d so despite having a bunch of games it's hard for me to play consistently without spending exorbitant amounts of time on it. I swear my villagers/islanders are always asking where I've been and I feel bad.

I disagree with the first tip. The game is challenging, but very playable still, without the stamina but it’s worth getting the Master Sword earlier. And you can exchange hearts for stamina later

Yeah master sword all day. I upgraded my stamina one time before I found out about the master sword and the master sword helps hella with the Gannon fights

Likewise you can always exchange stamina for hearts to get the master sword then redo the transfer and get all your stamina back
