In July of 2023 I decided I needed to get more exercise after recovering from a big back surgery. I didn’t intend to, but I ended up walking 60 minutes a day, (on treadmill) for an entire year! I was on a roll and just kept going. I now go 4x a week to maintain. ❤️🙏💃 Never felt better!

Your content has inspired me massively and has helped me be more intentional in many ways. After your tik tok, I joined project pan. Now, I'm getting dressed everyday...even if I'm just sitting on the couch on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you for the positive impact you've had on my life.

Definitely making ginger shots now! Something I've loved lately is making homemade super chunky applesauce. Literally just peeling and chopping apples then cooking them down in water only, smashing with a potato masher. I have put it in the Vitamix before but we prefer it super chunky instead. So tart and delicious, no need to add anything else but you can sprinkle in cinnamon if desired. Best way for me to eat apples in the winter.

I don't wear much make-up. How often do you clean your makeup brushes? My intention for 2025 is a NO BUY clothes, shoes, and purses year. I purchased a lot of new clothes over the last two years, refreshing my wardrobe with classics and looks that fit my lifestyle. My other intention is the same as yours regarding putting together a thoughtful nutritional way of eating. I use an app called Chronometer. It helps me stay accountable to what I eat and what type of daily exercise I do. We like brown eggs too. I started walking 5 to 6 days per week in my neighborhood since last March. I am now up to three miles. It is great for the mind. I use a walking app that keeps track of my miles, etc. I need to be more mindful on what type of KZbin videos I watch and how much time I spend on it. Good for you on creating these intentions and thanks for this video.
@seltzermint519 сағат бұрын
I can't answer for Christina of course but I clean my makeup brushes probably every 2-3 months. They just don't seem to get too dirty, honestly. I am doing a low buy year on clothes and shoes too and my intention re: purses is to buy just ONE this year even if it is really expensive that's fine, but there will only be one. I am so bad about buying purses that are not 100% what I want if they are cute and affordable, then I don't carry them all that often. Changing it up this year. I bought one large work bag on Jan 1 and it's going to be the only bag of its type I buy in 2025.

I’m thinking about daily walks, but it’s so hard in winter here in Montreal. I’m planning for three times a week. Thanks for the inspiration.
@seltzermint519 сағат бұрын
I get that. I live in the central USA where we don't have a ton of super wintry weather but it definitely throws a wrench in my well established outdoor walking and hiking habits! yesterday was mild enough for an hour hike, glorious.

It is tough in Montreal! Frigid! My friend and I went on a polar vortex walk the other day though and it was okay! If you can go with a buddy it makes it easier

I find it nearly impossible to get properly dressed everyday, especially if I am only going out for a walk or to run a quick errand. It just feels like I am making laundry for no reason, and I don't want to have to wash my nicer pieces constantly!
@DrDroog2917 сағат бұрын
You may already know this, but the way to solve this is to understand your personal style and how much of your daily life asserts that. If you spend most of your time at home or unable to wear nice pieces, you may just need to alter your style to a more casual wear and accept that you may tend away from nicer/dressy and maybe even less clothing to minimize laundry. You still have to wear clothing every day so you’re always building up some sort of laundry. Plus, for me personally I don’t wash the clothes I wear every day- a lot of it can be stretched pretty far. To some people, a nice sweatsuit is getting dressed properly. Otherwise you’ll just continue to waste your wardrobe. I always felt this way too until I altered it to my practical lifestyle.

I love the using up makeup and skincare. To me that's so much more goals than constantly buying new stuff. I recently bought quite a lot of makeup and skincare but NO guilt because I seriously used up sooo much of my previous stockpile. It feels better to me buying new stuff when I fully used the old.

Thank you for another video! ❤️ I love your habits, esp. daily walks 🚶🏻♀️ I value fresh air esp. after long screen time! Also, getting dressed 👗👠💄 is something I'm gonna borrow from you 😉😍 I think one habit I want to practise every day this year is being positive ✨ and present where I am now. I tend to worry so much about the future and so lose the joy of the moment 😥 I don't want that anymore. I think getting dressed could be one tiny thing out of many I can do to learn to love my life back ❤️

You should be happy to know that breakfast is actually not important. Your body is still processing and digesting and metabolizing the meals from the day before. One healthy, good solid lunch and then maybe an early light dinner and that's all you need to stay disease free 🙏

I've been thinking about what you said about how much makeup we really need. TBH we don't need it at all :) but not being too dramatic, and especially for those who like trying new things, maybe using testers would be just enough. I am totally against single-use items and micro-packaging but if the alternative is to waste a whole product then... the tester is actually less waste.

brain-breaks indeed. i been reading books about technology and attention and other tech affects on the brain and body. its pretty scary actually what we have gotten ourselves used to doing these days. I'm intending to finally read Marshall McLuhan's 'Understanding Media', but I recently read "Slow Productivity" by Cal Newport (not focused on tech only tho, one of my fave books ever now tho), "New Media Epidemic" by Jean Claude Larchet (more of a spiritual/natural focus around tech, also one of my fave books ever), and now reading "The Shallows" by Nicholas Carr which is apparently a modern tech-culture/philosophy classic. probably the main thing I've learned over the years is how important our Attention is and how primary and foundational it is for being human. Attention sovereignty has been one of my main goals if not my one main goal (since it is required for the success of all goals really) in the last 5+ years. Divesting my attention and energy from things that don't cultivate virtue and even better mindfulness. its hard. lol i dont have social media but for sure im still addicted to youtube and some tv shows. but at least now i know what i need to do and how to do it.

I can’t find the exact one I used but it’s -a bunch of ginger -2 lemons -2 naval oranges -1/4 tsp of olive oil - turmeric root or powder - a pinch of black pepper to Activate the turmeric - filtered water or coconut water Blend and strain the pulp and done - lasts about a week! Add some honey if more sweetness required
