Nice video as well, my favourite buzzers method is to get a nice wind to my left and let it do all the work. The takes are typically solid just need to lift the rod and bingo.

Getting the drogue set up right in any but the slightest of breeze, along with maintaining contact with the team of flies is key. Slackness often results with many takes not even being noticed, with even more fish slightly pricked and able to dislodge the hook hold.

Great video! Very informative. I wish we had fisheries like there are in the UK. We have some in BC & a couple in Ontario, where I live, but it costs you your first born to be a member. We don’t often get the chance to fish buzzers.

Thanks for all your amazing informative videos I have been fly fishing for about 15 years now I’m from Colorado I have never ever tried buzzer fishing so I greatly appreciate all your videos I have the itch bad to go fishing can’t wait for summer but I’m definitely going to try buzzer fishing I tie all my own flies so what are your favorite buzzer patterns for lake fishing Brook trout? Anyway great videos thanks.

I am glad they are some use to you, I would love to get to Colorado some day to fish the rivers there. As for favourite flies for Brook Trout sadly I have never had the opportunity to target that species. I dare say the selection of flies I showed in the video would be a good starting point.

What’s happening with Draycote and Eyebrook now?
@lindsayiflyfish12 сағат бұрын
I believe that Draycote will be opened under AW on the 01 April for Trout fishing. Eyebrook looks like becoming a coarse fishing venue.

@@lindsayiflyfish oh no no no… so many memories of Eyebrook, the old wooden lodge, the boats on the winders, trolling on the way out with the oars and only have electric motors. Dave Hughes Rothwell Rods Reels and flies and Stuart’s after the new lodge was built. When they stocked those browns which now are huge no doubt and fishing with my Dad (he was a course angler never really took up fly fishing) catching wild brownies by the island. Plus learning how to fishing with Lenny Agg. Taking my daughters there and teaching them how to catch fish with a fly.
