Mike, that is some great promotional product you have, can't wait for a give away. I agree with you about the year in review vids, not because I don't like them, but more so, there's a lot of channels that already do it, same reason I shy away from the Catch Clean & Cook content, it's already out there. Great commentary on tips for fishing Galveston. All true, all helpful, heartfelt advice straight from an angler's mouth. It's funny, you hit the head on the nail, it's not you being rude or mean, but persistence and pushing the envelope, trying new things and definitely learning through your failures, best advice you can give anyone trying to up their game. Wishing you a happy & healthy new year. Take care my friend. Until next time, tight lines & good vibes.

Pier fishing you have galveston fishing pier on 91st. People have been catching good reds out there. You could also hit surfside jetties or seawolf park. A lot of solid trout getting pulled from the jetties. Personally wade fishing has been great lately. South side of a Galveston Bay shore line and even surf fishing has been very good. Send me an email if you want some more detailed info.

This is a great video and tips on things you'd think we'd know but a lot have been taught or learned from someone how to do something but it's all incomplete because it usually encompasses fishing a certain way or specific species (such as fishing for bass). So when we go to new places, we really have only a very basic idea of how to fish that area. On that note, I'll be visiting Galveston for the first time at the end of the month. I like the idea of using lures. Are there any specific types that work better than others like jigs vs spoons? There is a fishing pier my friend said I should check out but with the height from the water, is it best to use a bucket or crab net?
@TexasFishingForce
@TexasFishingForce 5 жыл бұрын
Ryan Broos thank you, fishing Galveston is definitely a learning experience. A very tricky place to fish consistently. As for lures, I’ve switched primarily to artificial and I love it. Lures depends on location and what you are fishing for. Spoons work well, I use a lot of soft plastics like Down South Lures for reds and trout. Gulp is a safe artificial to use as well.

TFF Thanks for the good content videos. I live in Dallas and can only make it to Galveston once or twice a year with my boat. When is the best month of the year to maximize my opportunities for a good offshore fishing trip? How far out for blue water and a shot at some good trolling action that time of year? Is it worth trying to troll with a downrigger around the oil rigs? Thank you!
@TexasFishingForce
@TexasFishingForce 5 жыл бұрын
Raw Fish It depends how far out you plan on going. Right now is great on days you can catch a good weather window. Snapper season is in right now and it’s pretty easy to catch snapper and kings this time of year. August is probably my favorite month though because Amber Jack season opens. So it’s nice to go out pretty far, catch monster AJ’s, grouper, mahi, wahoo, etc.

Matt Fryar I’ll be out close to there tomorrow as well. With the cold weather, low water and high north winds you have to find some deeper water.
