Hi! I just started learning to fly! I am super excited. So far I have done my intro flight plus a lesson giving me 1.7 hrs on the R44 Raven I. I am already loving it. I am glad I was able to stumble on your videos. Thank you for the tips. I flew over Boston by the way.

I’ve been training at Corporate Helicopters in SanDiego. I saw you and your girlfriend in the office once. I’m up to 60hrs and 4 PIC hours in the R22. I was a weekend warrior for a while, because I am in high school, but I’ve been flying as much as possible lately. My uncle has an Enstrom 280FX and I have been getting a lot of experience in that.

Haha no way! Small world! It's tough to balance it all! Summertime is almost here so time to start stacking hours! I'm hoping to make it out that way again soon.

Austin Claborn Yeah, the weather has been a little bit of a factor these past few weeks. Hopefully it will clear up, all of the rain turned everything green which is good. The SanDiego air to air channel is getting extremely packed again. I’ve been doing solo flights all in the pattern so far and hopefully next week I’ll be working on my XC requirements, it gets pretty darn quiet and boring just flying around in the pattern. But I’ve been slowly racking those PIC hours. Have you been out to the Julian Pie Company in the East county of SD? They allow us to land in the parking lot.

Kia Ora Austin, Great videos :) I'm a CPL Aeroplane with Multi Engine Instrument rating (VOR, RNAV, ILS) GPS 430 and G1000 rated for IFR. 280+ hours in NZ, about to start my instructor's rating. I agree with you on learning your equipment, I got a GPU connected to a C172 and just sat down in the aircraft on a rainy day and learnt by looking around. Sometimes you feel like stuck in the same place but one day it will just click and you get it!!! Happen to me a couple of times. Keep up the great work Austin
