Super right on time!!! I got the Schoolism newsteller with the link for this video literally 8 minutes after I scheduled an interview with a really important company, and 2 minutes after asking some of my experienced friends for interview tips! Looking forward!

I have a cuestion, about the cuestion. Could you put an example? Because sometimes the only questions it comes to mind are about money, schedules, proyects...
@Astharia7 жыл бұрын
Urich Conde I don't know a good example but I was always told not to als too fast questions about money. if that is your only question it might look as if you don't care for anything else...

Hi Urich, good question ...about the questions. here's some off the top of my head... 1. I have a question... you know your project _________? How many people did the ___________ part to make it look so ___________? Pause for the answer and then react to the answer.... Oh wow, I was thinking it would be __________. That's impressive! 2. Just curious... I heard that you guys do ___________ (eg. battle of the bands) once a year. Does that still happen?

blossomkitty yes you are right, there are ways to ask. About it more subtle or let them. Tell you.

Bobby Chiu thank you very much, this is very helpful since im in that job hunting extravaganza (i hate it, specially the 5 year question) and this helps a lot! Since i never was sure whst to ask and dont make. It look either greedy or dumb.

you're welcome Urich. and it's totally ok to ask about salary. Just don't make it the first thing if you can :)

I have some trouble understanding the portfolio point. Realistically I will be applying to few places at once given it takes so long to hear back. Customizing to just one at a time could take forever. And I am fine looking for jobs in different areas, concept art, illustration, kids stuff, storyboarding etc. I am mostly focused on character concepts but I'm trying to expand more from fantasy to sci-fi (architecture and hard surfaces overall) Plus it seems a lot of employers want you to do a bit of everything instead of specializing. I always hear two different opinions.Thanks

I have a question. I understand the specifics of tailoring a portfolio for a specific studios and not show them, animation, mobile game art, ui, concept art, etc. But how do you go about doing that. Specific websites or reels for each job?
