Possibly a large chunk of our time at work under O365 is spent on adjusting settings, (notification, privacy and sharing settings mainly), something typically perceived as non-value-adding by old ways of working. (Outlook never needs us to adjust anything, other than meeting series parameters...)
@disturbedcarrot4 жыл бұрын
This is helpful, especially 4 and 5. Trying to get passed the Teams vs Outlook confusion is tricky. Using teams for meetings and collaboration, but Outlook is still the choice for covering oneself, e.g., like snail mail - you got the letter/email or you said this or agreed to that or whatever was the commitment in the case! Hard to move folks away from that. The one thing Outlook has is a single inbox and that's easier to comprehend/operate than multiple teams, channels, meeting notes, chats.

We moved from Slack to Teams, I like Teams better, and feel it offers many more capabilities. HOWEVER, the biggest complaints our staff have is that there are not clear reminders that there is new content in a channel like there is in Slack. I can see online that this is a major issue for many. Microsoft HAS to fix this,

Omg omg omg! I am soon to roll out teams in a group where I am not a leader but is expected to organize the group. I struggle with people coming to me with one to one whispers and expecting me to convey to others, creating soooo much extra work for me. Also, when instructions or encouragement to share knowledge comes from me they do not bother and rather expect me to deliver it to them. If I manage to encourage them to use teams, the group will be more efficient. This video is the one that can make my efforts into success! Thank you very much!

Thanks for this excellent video. I have also encountered a lot of the issues in my attempt to introduce Teams as a way to communicate in Lean manufacturing projects. Really like the concept of house rules. What I love about Teams is the ability to make interactions engaging and fun. "Going All In" continues to be a challenge for the reasons you mentioned in the video. Any suggestion or examples you could share in how you have overcome this hurdle?

Hi, great video. Is there a way to see a sample of that introduction video at location 4:03 for our own users? We’ve made the mistake of introducing Teams company-wide without personally introducing people to it. Instead, we broadcasted everything to everyone in an auditorium :-/.

Hi, great video. Thanks for it. May I have question? Why Teams is not ideal for projects or initiatives where you have very infrequent interaction? I dont see problem with that as team members can still share/store documents an other information even if they don´t need to interact very often. thank you for your answer
@Storyals5 жыл бұрын
Miroslav Šraga - Currently switching between Teams tenants is quite time consuming. (If another company invites you as a guest in one of their teams you need to switch Teams tenant). Also, since you don't have a preview of what posts are shared (you just see an "unread" notification on Teams), you might switch tenant only to find out that someone has commented - "good point!". You just wasted 3 min of your time switching between tenants! Had this been an email you would have done it in a sec. Microsoft is working on improving the experience - so this point will most probably not be applicable soon. But for now it still holds!

Unless Teams are 100% integrated with Outlook and decent file explorer people won't use it widely. "All-in" doesn't work.
@systemdrei65355 жыл бұрын
Could you please explain, why "All in" doesn´t work? Thank you...
@andreyru92215 жыл бұрын
@@systemdrei6535 Hello. The main communication flows are happening in Outlook. It is really hard to make people using Teams instead of Outlook, all the replies to mails are happening there, not much sense to copy the same in Teams in semi manual mode. Its even hard to persuade people from my team to use the app, all are saying "what a great app!", but practically not using it on constant basis. And the file explorer in Teams is of very limited functionality, not convenient to find and share files from Teams.
@systemdrei65355 жыл бұрын
@@andreyru9221 Hello Andrey, thank you for answering. I noticed this in organisations since 20 Years. I think the first problem is, that Information and files are in separated "rooms". You can connect them only through an attachment to email. But what happens with this file? It is not in the folder in MS explorer/one note any more. Nobody knows, what is the state of this file. Acting with 100s of files leads to enormous search time. The other problem ist, that there are too many tools (apps), each of them is good in one or two features. But you need 20 of them, this is extremly ineffctive und inefficient. MS Teams seems to be a hub to integrate all these apps, but I think we are most of the time busy with administration and forget about real project work. I can´t see any reduction of complexity. I see only one winner. This is Microsoft. We accept this without thinking about, what is realy important. In my experience most important features are Informations can be connected with files and workflows. Absolutely easy and without embellishment for no use. systemdrei has been built for that. We just put an Messenger in MS Explorer an so there is communication connected wtih filles. A Taskmanager (also in explorer) helps managing even intensive Projects easiliy. No internal email neccessary anymore. But its not in the cloud. Its just for internal server work. But we have a webclient. Sorry, systemdrei is not available in an english version at the moment. We come from Austria :--)
