If doing cardio sounds horrible to you, it's because you don't make it interesting. You don't need to run on the treadmill in the gym. Go swimming. Ride a bike. Run through the woods. Make it interesting for yourself.

Robert Markoš I agree. I like riding a bike and I’m not talking about those stationary bikes at the gym, I’m talking about the ones you can ride outside. Stationary bikes are boring to me but outdoor bikes are fun. People have to try their best to avoid making excuses and find fun ways to be healthy.

1-2 week diet breaks have been a life saver for me on a diet. Better muscle retainment, improved mood, improved hormones (leptin etc), strenght gains, better sleep, lower stress and able to keep cutting on higher calories after the diet break . Highly recommend everyone to do diet breaks instead of refeed days. Or you can do both if you want to :)

Man if you say that you need a break it means that your diet is HARSH and I can guarantee you that after a few months/years you will never have a diet again bcs whenever you ll think about it you ll get sick. You should make for yourself a big nutrition plan that you can respect your entire life, not onlya few years.That nutirtion should contain foods that can feed you hunger for sweets or other things but in a healthy way.You should also have 3,4 options to eat at any meal so you don t have to eat the same thing. (After every workout I ate poultry and rice for 3,4 months, 5 days a week and after I stopped whenever I see poultry I feel like I am going to vomit)

Muscle loss has always been an issue when I have been traveling and did not have the time to workout sufficiently. Not having a caloric deficit while walking for the whole day around is pretty hard, because you gotta sit down and eat a lot. Additionally, when you are traveling and seeing new places, you easily forget about food.

The calories part goes for weight gain as well, for most people always see getting fit as a part of losing weight and not gaining that. I used to be 134 pounds and I now sit comfortably at 161 with no additional weight on me. 3000+ calories a day, carbs, water, salt, and 6 days a week of 2 hour long work outs and I gained that weight in muscle in only a few months, about half a year. For all you skinny folk that’s tired of being the skinny guy or gal I advise you work hard man, no metabolism can keep you from gaining muscle if you work hard for it.

Intermitting fasting I'm currently doing. 18/6 I eat plenty but I do cut my portions of non-keto lately (except I eat regular meat, because it's already expensive as it is and I don't eat grains bread but might change this and I eat dairy but I cut that a bit lately) and I try to avoid high calory foods. I take one shake, I probably can do 2 shakes. I don't eat before during and after my workouts, I work out every other day for 3 hours cardio and weights. cardio 50 min to 1 hour. I started with cutting junkfood and high on calory foods for almost 3 months now, and currently am taking foods that will prevent any auto immune disease (hence the fasting). Trying to lose weight at hard to lose it at places. Be patient, I don't know, I think you should be able to lose a lot of weight in 6 months time, like what I've seen I've lost by now, in the start it's faster but still, I think in 6 months time you should be able to transform nicely. You need results for your work otherwise you'll just lose interest at some points, like keep it up for 6 months, that isn't easy. When you have low fatpercentage in your body, I think then things really can be set off. Then you can just start gaining muscle. Until then your goal should be losing fat primarily. And I'm not crazily Keto in sense of, if I drink tea, I drink it with flavour if I want to and if I want honey, I'll take it (inside the 6 hours). But I do take the fasting pretty serious the last 4 days so. If I can keep that up for a month, that's 8 kg lost, so. kinda worth it because I hit a plateau in weight loss.

If somebody can clear this doubt, it shall be good for me. Let's say, I have built muscles by working out and following a strict diet and good sleep. I stopped working out, but I still follow the muscle building diet and take the right calories to maintain my current weight. Will I still lose the muscles , despite following the right diet and calories? If the muscle is lost, will I still be in the same weight or gain fat?

How did you come to the conclusion about protein? In the study itself it says: "Lean body mass declined by 1.8±2.2 and 2.1±1.4 kg, respectively, with no significant differences between groups (P=0.213)". It also says: "Conclusions: Increasing protein intake above habitual intake levels (0.9 g kg−1 per day) does not preserve lean body mass, strength or physical performance during prolonged energy intake restriction in overweight older adults."

how does donating blood affect your ability to exercise during any given time? What can we do to better prepare ourselves for giving blood and still maintaining an exercise regimen? what are the importances of giving blood and are there any health benefits for those donating? and who benefits when we give blood? I love the way your videos are structured and I really believed that you could put forward an excellent example and answer all of those questions respectively
@Greg_Chock
@Greg_Chock 6 жыл бұрын
As long as you are generally healthy, you body can regen your donated blood within 6 weeks. You get no benefits. It depends on who you donate your blood to but is usually goes to those in need from trauma or surgery. After you donate make sure to drink lots of liquids and eat something with iron (meat, chicken, fish, tofu, spinach). I have no study to back it up but I've worked out an hour after donating (not suggested) and not noticed any loss in performance.

dust are you overweight? If not, stick to eating at a maintenance level of calories everyday and eat clean not junk food. If you are overweight, simply eat in a caloric deficit and you’ll lose weight and build muscle as a beginner. When it comes to training, follow a good beginner routine such as Starting Strength and StrongLifts to maximize your potential newbie gains. Just do 3 full body workouts per week and focus on increasing your strength on the main compound lifts (Squat, bench press, deadlift). When you begin to plateau in strength gain, you may want to start increasing your calories. Don’t worry about being lean and shredded all the time, you can lose the weight later very easily.

Please..🙏sir (Assume 👇) I have 18% of fat, if i get shredded body by lifting 35kg weight(assume some weight)and i eat more protein food (no fat, assume) to get bulk with that shred body. Now I'm bulk, so my body already in shred, using this shred i want to get more bulk eating only protein (no fat), and lift same weight 35kg, 1) by eating good protein is my body will bulk with same shred by same weight lifting? 2) if my body will bulk with same shred by same weight lifting, then why we need to lift more weight? (Because my hands are have good shape when i shred and now by eating only protein i getting bulk and my hands are big in that shred shape, why should I lift more?) Please try to understand my question sir, because I'm poor in English.

tariqo16 A healthy and sustainable amount of weight loss is about 0.5-1 kg per week. More than that is not sustainable in the long run as you’re probably not eating enough. Try to incorporate more exercise and a rich diet and the weight will slowly come off. This way, despite the weight coming off slowly, you’re unlikely to gain it all back again because you eat healthy and exercise enough. If you eat too little, once you get to your ideal weight, you’ll start eating as you did before, gaining a lot of the weight back. So in the long run, slow weight loss is actually better for you. Something strange that always worked for me is making sure I have enough protein, and check my weight before I sleep. If i'm +-1KG above the weight I want to be the next morning, then I'm good. Because I almost always lose around 0.9-1.1KG in my sleep.

Summer is over and my bench has decreased a lot. My football player friends that I was stronger than are now above me and I feel very insecure. It’s a weird feeling knowing you can lift something, but when you try you can’t. All the equipment I had at home during summer was a dumbbell. I curled most days all summer. I’m upset

I got my answer, I had lost like 1.5kg of muscle while being inactive for 3 months where my diet was bad being on calorie deficit mostly and little to no protein. So if you are inactive, dont be on extreme deficit yet try to take protein when possible

About cutting calories, how do you start? How can I now what is my usual calorie intake per day to know how I can cut for fat loss? My diet is not consistent and eat, like 99% of us, very different things during a week. Any suggestions?

Great video as always. Would you consider doing a video on flax seeds? That might be too specific, but perhaps cover it as part of some larger food category?

Great video. I wonder if my BMR is 1800cal/day does it mean that if i dont move at all and eat 0 cal/day then i will burn 1800cal/day ? Lets say i dont move for a day and eat 2000cal does eat mean that i will burn more than 1800cal due to thermogeneses of food ? Becuase that would be great. Kind regards

There is one thing that does not make sense to me. If you allready are in a calorie deficit - say 2500 and 3000 for maintenance - logically you should lose weight/fat since you eat 500 calories less. Why would cardio make any difference you just burn more caloires thus this will result in higher likeability to hit a state of muscle breakdown. Good video and informative.

On vacation from today and 2 weeks on. Won’t be able to go to the gym and already getting nervous about how I’ll do when I come back lol 😐 I guess I’ll do some push ups and “dumbbell” curls with water bottles or something to minimize the loss as much as possible 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is carb cycling really works? Muscle protein synthesis is high in 24 hours after training and carbs and insulin are necessary for that so if i train tonight and tomorrow is my rest day and carb cycling, what happens ?!

Great video again! What about when you, due to circumstances, had a few days of a too low deficit (say -1000)? Would having a refeed day (or a few) be useful, to minimize muscle damage to some extent?
