LOVE THIS! We are the same age, and do I remember those white boots. My mother used to say, 'if I were your age, I would buy a pr of those boots!" She loved them.. I never did, but I did everything else. ;) Biba was my favorite, and of course mum would make me Mary Quant dresses, false eyelashes always, it makes me smile to see the younger folk now thinking they invented false lashes..no way, we have the 'make up' cornered in every way. Enjoying your tips and I need to remind myself always to straighten up! I feel the same about barrel legged jeans :) but I always wear what I feel looks good on me, regardless of age, I love clothes, and always will. Excuse us, Anna Wintour editor of US vogue is older than us, tell her she can't or is 'not allowed' to wear certain things! Ageism in all its forms makes me SO crazy! Keep up the good work!

Oh my, some advice that reminds me precisely of my mother! Even to the invisible thread. She really pushed posture. I agree that spending a little time putting oneself together is worth the effort. Texting with thumbs, not sure, lol. One suggestion, if it's affordable for folks, men or women, is to do teeth whitening. Makes a big difference in how one presents.

I just happened onto your channel. I liked and subscribed. Truly valuable information! I'm 78 and will always care how I present myself, not to impress anyone, but just to feel good about myself. I see many ladies far younger than myself, who are overweight, who dress and look frumpy with no make up or self-care and I'm perplexed about why they don't take care of themselves. I remind myself every day to stand tall, choose healthy food and keep a positive attitude. It IS my job to stay as healthy as possibe. Taking pride in how I look is for ME, but has rewards. I love it when people are shocked by my age because they think I'm at least 10 yrs younger than I am. I still work 20 hrs a week and have a great sense of humor, so that keeps me involved with younger people plus keeps me connected socially. Thank you for your great, realistic and genuine pep talk! 💖 😊

It’s interesting when people make comments like, “What’s wrong with getting old?” when, in reality, most people aren’t thrilled about looking older-just as few people are genuinely happy being overweight. If you’re going to be offended by a discussion like this, why even click on the podcast? Often, it's those who are quick to criticize who seem overly concerned with others' lives, rather than focusing on their own.

Maybe add a physical scrub in the rotation?? Either an ex foliation face cloth (which I use, but they are harder and harder to find when they wear out), or the creams with little granules that give your skin a scrub as you rub it in....shower and come out fresh, sometimes a bit pink and glowy, so not if you're going out! So well remember slouching to try and hide a developing bust. Now I have osteoporosis and I'm even more stooped ! We used to have deportment classes at school. I always wear an underwire - except for the couple of months that I was recovering from cancer surgery, and don't feel right without one. Skin care is essential, as is a decent haircut, and groomed nails. I do a dermal planing every couple of weeks - but why do you say not to pluck the stray chin hairs? Definitely agree with having a positive attitude - although this is not the day to even try to think positive.

Hello my gorgeous friend. KZbin isn't notifying me of your videos along with others. Ugh. I'm guilty of not standing up straight. I blame it on my boobs pulling me over! LOL Seriously, without a bra, I am down to my waist. I remember my mother having me balance a book on my head. No one would ever believe that you're 70! You are beyond gorgeous. Thank you for such great tips. Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Lots of love. ❤❤

Afternoon darling Rene! Now that's odd, this notifying thing, because I watched Angie yesterday and was a bit puzzled by her comments. When I log in, I first look at the Home page, and then at my subscriptions, so I do see if someone I've subscribed to has uploaded - I think! Anyway, let's hope whatever's going on doesn't last long 😉 I remember the book balancing thing too - that's probably what we did in the modelling class. I vaguely remember something about how to get out of a car modestly - honestly, hard to believe now! Have a wonderful Sunday, it's drizzly here in London town 💙❤️❤️❤️

@beautybydez it is odd about the KZbin algorithms. I'm not getting alot of my most watched KZbin channels. It's quite frustrating. Seems like every time that they think they're changing things for the better, it makes things worse! I think my mother wanted me to be less of a tomboy! Having 2 brothers, I was always following in their footsteps. I played in the mud, walked around barefooted all summer, and rode my bicycle constantly. I don't think balancing a book on my head was going to change me, LOL. Then of course, I discovered boys, and my tomboy era was over! 😅😊💝

I sleep in a soft bra after reconstruction... trying to keep my one boob pert...and I damp my face with a sprat befire apply moistriser... it makes a difference the product sinks and doesn't sit on my face and make me sweat. Love your guidance particularly about grooming....
