After going through menopause at age 30 due to treatment for cancer, my skin has been ageing rapidly over the past few years. I was so desperate I tried botox once. I didn't like the feeling or the idea of having it in my body. I've had a facial exercises book in my drawer for a long time, I just never knew if I was doing it correctly so I gave up. These videos of Deborah explaining how to do it are some of the best on KZbin. I'm so excited to continue these exercises and to start seeing results. Thank you so very very much. Physicians and physiotherapists are so lame at dealing with Bell's palsy facial paralysis and the synkinesis that follows. I've been watching face yoga exercises to gain more understanding of how to stretch and help get my open mouth smile back. These exercises are the VERY BEST I've come across and explains so much about why my platysmus is so tight and causes chin dimpling and tightness when trying to smile. I've shared this with the FB group for Bell's palsy and facial paralysis recovery. I am absolutely floored that after 3 years of BP, These exercises have completely loosened the lower half of my face and made my smile feel normal and not weirdly tight and pulling and snarling like a chihuahua. In the meantime, we're happy to let you know that you can practice any combination of Deborah's exercises, starting at once a day - once you become more used to these exercises, you can adapt this to more or less times as you prefer!
