It's still so endlessly horrible that a woman having her baby taken by wild animals became a source of ridicule for so long, and the woman herself was accused of murdering her baby and even wrongfully sent to prison, all because for some reason, people were unwilling to believe dingoes are capable of dragging off and killing a literal infant.

I feel so bad for that family. Not only did they lose a child but people still remember their horror as a joke. It’s like the woman who sued McDonald’s for burning her. Most people think it was frivolous but it wasn’t at all. There are a few cases like this, where the public knowledge is held more on the jokes made rather than what actually happened.

Yes!! That lady who spilt the McDonalds coffee over her legs, genitals and buttocks, i watched a documentary recently on that! I saw the photos of the awful burns, I feel sooo bad for her, in the media and like talk shows and everywhere she was mocked, the true info about her situation wasnt given and she wasnt allowed to talk about it while the lawsuit was in progress. There's so much more about her,and the events. I just feel so bad for her

You hit that completely on the nail. I don't often stay up to date with the news so by the time I get any info, it's often through a bad joke but yet I'm none the wiser to any actual events. I usually hate watching the news for the dread it leaves in my head before bedtime. However I can listen to these scary stories. I guess the difference is because these stories often come from survivors which is a good feeling instead of a bad. But I appreciate the documentaries too which are eye openers. My BIL was kidnapped for a day once when we were in high school. He was on a school trip to Chicago for a couple of days. He and a friend wanted to find some weed so they asked some random guys on the street. Guys are like, yeah come with us. So they end up in the projects in a really bad neighborhood and they realize something is not right. They try to leave but the guys separate them. My BIL gets taken to an ATM where they try to make him empty his account. Instead, my BIL runs, losing a shoe in the process. The kidnapper pulls a gun but decides not to shoot and BIL gets away. His friend is still back in the projects. He decides his best option is to befriend these guys. They eventually let him leave and even exchange phone numbers lol. Edit: oh my god halfway through the first story I realized it was the "a dingo ate my baby" story. This is why people need to respect and fear wildlife, no matter how cute or unassuming they can seem. But holy crap the Australian courts suck. On the 2nd story, while horrifyingly tragic, getting a lawyer is an extremely smart move - especially if you're innocent. The trope of "You got a lawyer so that means you're guilty" needs to end. Innocent people have unintentionally shot themselves in the foot by being overly cooperative with the police.

TLDR: If you have to earn it, it is not love. From my life experience as a daughter, wife, and mom, I am sharing what, IMO, love is* and love is not**. *LOVE IS : patient, kind, and given freely without expecting something in return. **LOVE IS NOT: selfish, used to manipulate, used as an excuse of controlling or guilting someone to tolerate verbal, psychological, physical and other abuses. If you are dating someone who calls the later "love" get away asap. If you have a parent, per Story 4, who "loves" in that way, do whatever is in your power to avoid that parent. It may be impossible, but you can tell yourself daily that you are worth real love, and you will have real love one day. Love is a verb. Though falling in love with someone is often not a choice, staying in love is a daily choice. Loving is an emotion that you have to feed well so it stays healthy. What makes you feel loved? (Story 4 has my stomach in knots. I really hope there is an answer in this case, and I plan to look up the case.)

I don't understand why Azarea didn't cry, this I find suspicious. I think the case is still open with a lot of people. I'm still on the fence about it, she could of been killed in the tent and dingoes smelled the blood and went into the tent, depending on if her throat was cut in such a way she didn't bleed out quickly but made her too weak to cry, I dont know, it's just horrible.

A DINGO STOLE MY BABY! Classic! I have always asked who would leave a 2 month old baby in a tent w/ two young kids? That baby should have been with her parents.

Dingoes REALLY DID TAKE those people's baby. Dingoes are extremely fearless & opportunistic hunters & scavengers.

Dingo Tradgedy: "Azaria" doesn't mean 'Blessed by God'. It's Biblical Hebrew, from the word 'azar which means 'he helped' and Yah(-owah), the proper name of God in the Bible, commonly said as Jehovah in English. So the name means "Jehovah has helped". The name Lazarus is from 'El'azar, meaning God helps. Blessed by God would be something like Berakh'el, but I digress. One of the most harrowing stories I ever heard. 😨🥺😩

"The Dingo ate my baby." You should never feed your baby to a dingo, it gives them an upset stomach. You shouldn't put your baby in a bucket either.
