You’re such a space guy I am surprised you didn’t restart the sci-fi stories again when you decided to make another YT channel. Not that I am complaining and I know I brought this up before when you already put your foot down on not continuing those stories which I fully respect Joel. I just wanted to bring it up because obviously pictures of your character in space suits 🛸🚀🧑🏻‍🚀👽🤖👾 and of course you’re from outer space 🪐 sooo kinda expected you to tell of your adventures. Anyways maybe I am also annoying you to do it lol 😂 😝 no offense! ❤️

The story of the father beating the kidnapper had me tearing up. That's love. It reminded me of when my mom also hit my attempted kidnapper with a bat. I am glad that kidnapper went to jail.

That deputy was wrong about 1 thing when he said “not a jury in the country would return a guilty verdict for a father trying to protect his daughter from a man like that” I’d say not a jury in the world would return a guilty verdict and anyone that would find him guilty should not only never have the right to be on a jury but they should be on trial. Also idc how nice or meek or mild mannered a man is I can’t imagine any father not becoming a monster in a situation like that, I know they say a mother can be absolutely vicious when protecting her kids but just wait till u see what a dad would do when he sees some creep dragging his daughter to his car. Didn’t say a word didn’t ask any questions just dropped that guy and made sure he couldn’t leave then brought his daughter inside to safety and then went back outside to finish the job. God bless that man and I hope every father would do the same.

Much love to the guy in the last story. My dad was diagnosed with testicular cancer 26 years ago, actually on the day him & my mum found out they were having me. He successfully got the cancer removed on the day I was born and tells all of his friends the importance of checking. Embarrassment shouldn’t equal your life!👏🏻

I use these videos for workouts, long work drives, my nightly sleep routine, naps, and when my eyes get sick of looking at the screen. I definitely love the long-form content. It’s so much easier to find long-form scary stories on KZbin than it is on podcast platforms. Also, your voice specifically lends itself to calming down, especially for sleep.

the story about the kid wanting to go to college hit me hard. i got accepted to Tulane and i had to decline because my mom had so much anxiety about me leaving the state. i still wonder how my life would be different if i had gone to Tulane, but also my mom died two years ago so in that way i dont regret spending extra time with her. not easy.

The chainsaw story, when he talks about that feeling of confusion but knowing something is wrong. It’s legit scary, almost feels like your stomach dropping during a rollercoaster. You have this immediate denial, that no no no, moment in your head followed with,oh this is bad. A flood of all these emotions in the span of a few seconds.

To me, I prefer almost kidnapped stories more than other scary stories, it just gives me chills down to my spine especially when hearing how the person felt or what red flags that sat off the alarm bells. It is really helpful and spreads awarness.

To the person who’s dealing with their parent’s severe mental illness, I’d say (I’m not qualified. A therapist is a fantastic and very urgent need.) the resentment is actually healthy, and I’m happy you wrote in. I’ve been in a similar situation and also dealt a bit with the other spectrum too. Humans are formed for community, but I’ve turned to a few people who couldn’t fulfill the needs I needed filling without it really hurting them in a terrible way. I can’t fully empathize, but if you see this, please feel encouraged that by being able to articulate your story, it may give you an idea on how to move forward with your life; I hope that your mom will continue to seek help. Also, congratulations on the hard work you’re putting into your education. That’s a lot to juggle, and I wish I had better advice!

Hi, I saw your message and wanted to tell you that I hope your appointment with the neurologist goes great. I'm sending positive thoughts and wish for things to go better than expected!! Also I was wondering about some things regarding your medical situation. If you feel like answering some questions at some point that'd be great. Obviously if not, I totally understand. I am going through a pretty bad medical situation also. Although nothing like you. I'm not dealing with "The Big C" as they referred to it in this video. Plus yours being the kind it is makes it so much worse. I don't know what to say or not say. I don't want to accidently be insensitive and I don't want to seem like I'm one of those people that feels the need to "one up" others bc they have it "so much worse" or like the ones that act like they can relate bc 'they've had a really bad headache before' so they totally get what brain cancer feels like. Do you know what I mean? I hope so. Anyway I was just going to ask a couple things, but I decided it is probably better to wait and see if you reply and if you're open to talking or not. I'm cooped up and have been since the beginning of the pandemic. It's hard when you don't ever say what you're really thinking bc you don't want your loved ones to be more upset than they already are. It has gotten harder to deal with as time has gone on. Take care! ✨🌸✨🌸✨

Tinder story happened to me sort of while I was in college. Guy from Tinder somehow found me on Facebook and messaged me about “not matching but really thinking I was gorgeous, couldn’t take his eyes off me on campus” or whatever I chewed him out because Facebook is not a dating app and if I were interested I would’ve matched with him. It’s gross because he really only had my first name but tracked me down anyway. It might I’m just be me but I think it’s a huge violation of someone’s boundaries to seek them out like that when there’s a perfectly valid way we could’ve connected if I were interested and the seeing me around on campus comment made me so paranoid 😓 honestly I’m glad I have a mean streak because I worry if I were less hostile, my story could’ve turned out like hers

Although I learned to fight from a pretty early age, if I'm ever in a bad situation with some sketchy people you best believe I'd be calling my dad. There's nothing scarier than a dad who's after the person who hurt his kid.

Yes. A 23 year old is too old for a newly 18 year old. ESPECIALLY if the 18 year old FEELS that way.

I survived being bitten by multiple ticks, was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and it took me a while to recover because I was contending with numerous other things at the time, but yeah... Ticks are incredibly terrifying. Take OP's advice. Be careful out there.

That last story was exactly what I went thru at 21. Mine was malignant and had to have my lymph nodes removed. Got a scar from my waste line to my sternum (38 staples) and still got 29 inside by my backbone. It was rough.... Especially without insurance and being a white male.

You know, what? Sometimes, with these stories, it's hard to think anything apart from "but nothing actually happened". The thing is, last night I watched a TV documentary called "The Darkest Hour". It was about a telecoms worker, complete Average Joe Nobody, who assaulted and murdered three women in the Claremont area of Australia. When they finally caught him about two DECADES later, it was through DNA evidence he had left at the scene of attacks on women years before he escalated to ending his victim's lives. It really showed how small a decision or incident can lead to life altering, or indeed ending, catastrophic contact with a creeper. They can go undetected for so long and who knows how many lives they've affected in that time, where they didn't quite get to carry out their evil intentions because of victim actions or the intervention of another good person. I do wonder how many of these stories were heading in a similar direction and that must be in the thoughts of the person relating their story. The never knowing for sure is both a blessing and a curse.

Listening to the trauma that one event can have on your life has helped me to realize to not be so hard on myself. My father passed away while my sister and I were still growing up in a time you probably still be blamed for the bad things that happened to you. Thank you for the insight.

To the person with the mom that self harms, should put the mother in a hospital and move away. It feels like those couples relationship where one partner self harms to make the other partner stay. You can't live like that. Find your freedom.
