I’m in Arizona ...My uncle went to Thailand with Hamilton from Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson!! (He was an aircraft mechanic and an airman first class at the time). I played the story for him. He remembers the incident! It’s true! 😱

That story gave me chills. Hamilton went through a lot, and many lives were lost attempting to save him. I hope the souls of those service men that lost their lives are at (or able to find) peace. Idk if Hamilton is still alive but I hope he has had a good life. I imagine your uncle found it a bit surreal to hear a story from many decades ago that he was actually *there* to witness from his time in Vietnam being read by Joel, of the KZbin channel "Let's Read." Would you please thank your uncle for me - for his service? He was one of many who went through hell to insure our freedom. I can't begin to imagine all that your uncle had to experience and endure during his time there. i'm very grateful to him, and all of those men, they sacrificed *everything* for our continued freedom.

DUDE I lived in prince Rupert for 12 years! I now live in terrace bc an hour and 45 minutes drive from Rupert. I’ve driven the stretch of road from prince Rupert to Prince George many times, it’s truly tragic and terrifying. Walking around at night on the road in this place is one of the most dangerous things you can do here. The highway of tears is truly heartbreaking. Which is one of the reasons that the missing indigenous women movement is so important where I live.

So, with Mackie, we are left wondering 1. Why did she attend THIS house party? 2. Why did she agree to be driven instead of driving? Her cousins were thoroughly interviewed, so assume those answers were there somewhere. We are also left with that she either WANTED to disappear or that she was disappeared. Attending a party, it’s possible that someone there knew she was being driven and where she would be later (her home). They then could’ve laid in wait. Who left the party before her - how well were they looked into? Forgive me, that’s the best thinking I can do at the moment with information given.

Thank you Let's Read. I seriously need this right now. It keeps me from thinking about how my life is disintegrating as I type this. This is also the perfect topic for an escape. Of course, I feel terrible for the parties that go missing, as well as their families, but I choose to see it as keeping the cases alive. Spreading the word, just in case. At least for the stories that are true. Anyway, I find your voice soothing and this topic really does grab and hold my interest. This video is like a big old triple shot cocktail for me, since I don't drink anymore. Smooth and relaxing. Once again, thank you. This was much needed.

Honestly, if he was still around, that's where I would be right now. Just being around him, I know that I'd have some of this stuff sorted out by now. He was a wise old man. I have often found that older people have some of the best stories and that goes doubly for veterans. Once again, I appreciate the offer. I may just take you up on that.

Jnet 32: Read synopsis of book ‘BAT-21’ ...Hambleton was rescued because of his passion for golf. He knew every major course by heart, like distance of Hole 6 at Pebble Beach or 3rd Hole at Augusta. His friends devised a plan to use distances on those courses to map out an exit. There was a brave man risking his life to get that info to Colonel Hambleton... flying a small unarmed aircraft through enemy territory and relaying map distances and coordinates that were from many different golf courses: Augusta 6 might mean go 200 yards and dogleg left 300 yards. Vietcong would not be familiar with those courses, so they would not understand the path Hambleton was taking. This story is captivating, and the bravery of that pilot should not be forgotten. His name is Captain Bartholomew Clark.

The Batzinator : Their experiences helped new aircrews understand the process of survival. Beyond the physical torture, there is psychological torture and that is hardest to conquer. That story about the latrine? It taught humor as shield, but also communication, planning, patience, creativity because the glass had to be hidden and passed between prisoners while the wood scratched discreetly over weeks. Every man had created unique ways to survive, and those were analyzed, dissected, understood, and passed to the next generation. Hopefully the day will come where we evolve beyond war.

@@jameswesten2018 lol okay buddy, calm down for second. Firstly, Im quoting Lets Read in the video. Secondly, Im sorry if thats been your experience, but that sounds like a pretty limited experience as not all women are like that. Third(ly?), it was just funny to note, no need to be a debbie downer.

The first one reminds me of the Dyatlov Pass... though it sounds like something more sketchy was going on. I mean, the best way to know that they aren't coming back is to know that they're already dead and be lying about it.
