Do you agree with me or disagree? What are your unpopular home decor opinions?

So true and so guilty trends are so hard to ignore.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! Thanks for watching Dale!

Gold when mixed with brass and copper, calms the gloss out. I don’t really care about too much of it and also not into metal accents.

Very true! I think the mixing helps! Thanks for watching Drake!

White quartz countertops with grey veining, beads in a bowl, marble knots or marble chain links, fake olive trees, bookshelves with knick knacks

Yes yes to the random bead things in bowls and faux heels plants! And I laughed about the knick knacks on shelves! I hope what’s behind me isn’t what you mean haha but lots of cluttery stuff on shelves I totally agree with you! Thanks for watching Marquita!

Yes, everyone is buying fake olive trees! Why? Then the beads...... Uff!
@christinalnelson2 жыл бұрын
@@lilicollazo750 don’t get me started on the random beads! At least a fake tree makes sense why someone would have it! But yes, I always prefer the real deal!

I think you mean the “glam” style with all the mirrored furniture and glass and crystal and crap. RH is sublime~ If you use a good quality flat paint, especially white, it can be cleaned with a magic eraser. I agree with the Studio McGee stuff. It’s all the same!

I love RH, my goal is to have my house look like you’ve just entered one of their galleries! I just think it can be over the top (which is the unpopular opinion) but I still love and want it! Haha. I do not like the mirrored glam of the 2000s, but I think most people agree with that now! And about the paint, maybe my kids are just extra rough! I have good quality paint in satin and I still can’t get everything out! Thanks for watching and I’m always glad to hear other people’s thoughts! Thanks Janice!

Very interesting video Christina and you look flawless! 100% agree on everything you discussed. I am now able to get away with flat or matte paint. The jute rugs look wonderful but they are uncomfortable and high maintenance. I have been careful with the gold. It just doesn't go with my house design but I like just a hint in certain things. For years I wanted an open concept. My house is a 52 years old split level which we have renovated. I wanted to open it all and my husband kept saying let's keep some privacy. My kitchen is pretty big. Now I hear from realtors in the area that people are looking for separate rooms. It seems the open concept is not for everyone. Everything changes so much! On another note, where is the coke? I guess you are keeping us in expectation :) Take care.

Thank you Lili! I’m glad my opinions aren’t too off the mark. I’m sure your home is the perfect blend of older character and modern updates! And I think it’s true about the open concept maybe starting to shift. I’m not sure it will go back to the very compartmentalized homes from the last century but maybe a hybrid of the old with parts of the home open concept. That what I think would be a good blend. And I did have my Diet Coke behind me on the shelves just out of frame! I’ll make sure to include it in the future! It mostly likely is always with me - I’m only slightly addicted… haha thanks again hon for watching and your thoughtful comments! Have a great weekend!
