@@christinalnelson sorry to hear that. I have a tall plant that some how developed a baby, which got to just about a foot tall, but i also hurt it trying to kill pests, I was sort of told to cut off the dead, see if the stem, trunk might regrow leaves, but was told it could take a few months. If you are interested, I can keep you updated. Did you just give up on yours or did it just die?

@@southerncomfort971 the whole plant just got an infection and died. Like when you cut it, it smelled so everything went in the trash, but I have since learned how to safely deal with fungus gnats, I make a “tea” from anti fungus gnat pebbles - got off Amazon and that does the trick. And I have also purchased a few more dracaenas and have done propagation with them doing the exact methods I showed in the video and have had success. Your video is so helpful! Great idea to out felt under the bowl to prevent scratches; We have an island and just bought our marble countertop today- we don’t have a sink in tge island and will have to use two slabs What color are your cabinets? Are they white? Do you have the name of the color of your cabinets? Or are they offwhite? And again which one? Our marble slab is more white and pinkish cream with some green lines and some black lines on the opposite side- so stunning You are right- marble is beautiful How do you prevent wine spills or other mishaps? Please tell me more How do you protect your wooden floors; we will also be putting wood floors in our kitchen
@christinalnelsonАй бұрын
@@julissabackus3560 our cabinets are white. They were factory painted white but they are a slightly warm white - very close to simply white by Benjamin Moore. I would recommend slightly warm rather than cool - it can look too clinical if it too cool. To prevent staining, i just clean up right after a spill and don’t let it sit too long. We don’t drink wine so the only thing that really ever gets on it is my Diet Coke and it comes up easily. I also have concrete floors, not wooden floors. But I just try not to drag things on it but scratches happen! I have four kids at home and they can be rough on a house! But it’s meant to be lived! Best of luck! Thank you for watching!

Great tips! I love a big sink. I use some enormously big pots and pans; some are cast iron and can't be put in the dishwasher. Also some of the big electric appliances need to be carefully hand washed. If I was stuck with a double sink, I would have to wash some of this stuff with the garden hose outside. I am getting ready for a remodel and we are putting a 2nd sink in the island. It's nice to have options for people who use their kitchen differently.

Doing a renovation this summer. The house was built with soffits (that did not have drywall behind them- insulation was blown in from the attic), but I wanted cabinets that are ceiling height, because I am nearly 6’, and my ceiling are only 8’,, so had someone take out the soffits and put in rough drywall. Doesn’t match the rest of the wall or ceiling at the moment, but will be covered by the new cabinets and crown molding when added, so not a huge issue for me at the moment. It’s only a temporary situation.
