Great video as always. I would like to know your opinion about the recent ETF SPYL. Do you think it’s a good alternative to the SXR8 or VUAA? TER is smaller and it seems to me to have a good fund size considering the time on the market.

Thanks a lot. Just looked it up, indeed, looks like a great alternative and trusted ETF provider. Seems to be USD based, but if you are fine with that, indeed, the expense ratio is incredible, just the volume a bit lower, but should still be plenty for most retail investors 👌 Cheers

Kai, random question when sending money to Trading212 do you send via Euro or USD from Revolut, the process seems more complicated when trying to send USD to T212 but I'm worried about T212's exchange rates and FX fees when I have unlimited FX on Revolut. Also thanks for another great video.

Great question, for now I mostly used it with my € but now that I am planning to buy more US stocks in USD I agree the fee might into my returns, so in the future will exchange € to USD in Revolut for free and then send it to Trading 212 to have no fee on that. Will also make tips & tricks video on T212 in the near future. Cheers

@@SmartMoneywithKai may I be wrong but in this way you can also take advantage of the 5.1% of earn in case you have uninvested dollars or 5.2% in case you have uninvested gbp, right??

Sorry for a silly question. But im new and confused,so if is for example a company pay more then once dividens a year, and is the yearly percentage 3% .And pay like once 1.5% and the again 1.5 percentage ?

Hi Janos👋, Not a silly question at all! It's great that you're reaching out to get a clearer understanding. When a company advertises an annual dividend yield of 3%, this is the total amount you would receive in dividends over the course of one year, expressed as a percentage of the stock's price. If the company pays dividends more than once a year, say quarterly or biannually, they split this annual yield across those payments. So, in your example, if they pay twice a year and each payment is 1.5%, these two payments would add up to the annual yield of 3%. Each payment represents a portion of the total annual dividend yield based on how often dividends are distributed. So yes, if a company has a 3% annual dividend yield and pays out twice a year, you would typically receive 1.5% each time. Keep an eye on the dividend announcements from the company to confirm the exact amount and timing of these payments. Cheers

since when sp is trustworthy company? how come mortgage rates werent graded as bbb during 2008 bubble? how is it trustworthy?

Since when is any company flawless? Every major financial institution made mistakes during the 2008 crisis, not just S&P. Life goes on, and they've improved since then. S&P plays a crucial role in creating the S&P 500 index, which is a benchmark for trustworthiness in the market. If you don't like them, don't invest in them. It's that simple. Cheers.

How much you dividends are taxed?
@SmartMoneywithKai
@SmartMoneywithKai 7 ай бұрын
Hi there 👋 That really depend on which country you live in. Usually US dividends are taxed with either 30% withholding tax or in most cases you can sign a form and reduce it to 15%, which is automatically kept by your broker. As for the tax in your country once again depends, some countries don't tax dividends, some treat it as income so you pay the same as income tax others have special taxation for that, best to check your respective country rules to be sure. Cheers

@@SmartMoneywithKai "I am from Lithuania and would appreciate your clarification on how to determine the exact taxes an investor must pay on dividends from particular companies (excluding those in the USA). I understand that the tax rates vary depending on the country, such as Germany versus Finland. For example, Daimler AG (DTG.DE) paid a dividend of €1.90 per share in 2023 based on the board's decision. According to Daimler's website, 'The dividend-paying bank withholds a capital gains tax of 26.375% on the gross dividend of Daimler Truck Holding AG (= 25% capital gains tax + 5.5% solidarity surcharge on the 25% capital gains tax).' Lithuanian law imposes a 15% tax on income from stocks ('pajamų mokestis' in Lithuanian). My question is, if I own one share of Daimler, what would be my net income after taxes? Is my calculation correct: €1.90 - [25% capital gains tax + 5.5% solidarity surcharge + 15% pajamų mokestis] = €1.90 - 45% = €1.045 net income after taxes?"
