We found a puppy and decided to keep her. We had no idea where she came from. As she grew I kept thinking she was a German shepherd cross of some sort because her ears started to stand up. I contacted a neighbor that lived about a mile away from us and asked her if she had lost a puppy. She said her husky had pups about 2 months ago and the mom kept moving them, she did notice some were no longer around. We live in a very wooded area in the Ozarks. I told her that we may have one of her pups. She said for us to keep it. They can’t take care of all their dogs. So I asked her if the pup was pure husky, she said no she had gotten out and was bred by her neighbors Rottweiler! We now have a Rottsky. Her name is Maggie. She looks like a very big husky! Brown eyes. She is an absolutely beautiful sable color. She LOVES ice cubes, she talks a lot, she runs up from behind you and gets between your legs and wants chest rubs, and she still squeezes under the bed somehow. She even has the pink on her nose. She can be a royal pain sometimes but she’s been all ours for almost 4 years now. We always thought she was just plain weird! Plus, at almost 90 lbs, she thinks she is still a lap dog and needs hugs. She boops her nose on my arm when she needs pet. She is a very needy dog, more so than any of my others. She demands attention. She can catch a skittle candy in the air every single time! She hides treats in her mouth and takes it out the doggie door to eat away from everyone else. She has never had a food shortage while with us so I’m not sure where the food aggression comes from. Maybe the Rottweiler side. Or being lost away from her momma. Thank you for your videos that shows us she isn’t that “weird” anymore.

We have a lot of dogs, almost all were rescues. I have 2 Anatolian Shepherd X Great Pyrenees, those were by choice. 2 lab crosses, a blue heeler, then Maggie the rottsky

Just googled it- i can see why you thought you had a shepherd on your hands. Si totally like a shepherd. I was thinking of the big head in a rotty and thinking “Huh?”. I guess its just the luck of the genes that you got the husky shaped head and body and the rotty - colouring. So interesting. There must be rotty-husky mixes out there where they have gotten the rotty head and husky colours. That’s would be so unusual

Truly enjoyed your post! Jake, my Husky is the very 1st one I've had. He has brought me so much joy. When I got him at 6 mos old I knew what to expect from him. But, wow, there is so much laughter. I didn't realize I was in a deep depression, I took meds for this. He has brought my depression at a halt! I still think Huskys have ADHD!

3:58 oh. my. GOD. britney spears has the CUTEST grumble talk. 💛 bro, i'm stoked. finally gettin to hear the 60form pups speak! (hopefully both. i got so excited, had to comment early. *i've been DYINGGG to hear them. i love this aspect of huskos. that and the singing.* it's just.... endless amusement and warm brain feels for me. i loved these dogs since i was a kid, without much knowing why. maybe it was that a neighbor had some in a backyard but i was super little and all i really remember is "cool eyes". and "looks like wolf". i only caught glimpses. and basically only remember just this one time one of their dogs came up to the fence. it was a dark and secluded backyard. vaguely i remember color palette of multiple dogs. but it's impossible that they were silent. but i remember ZERO on noise. my mom *hated* them tho. because noise apparently. also, an RN that worked night shift. and houses were pretty close together. pretty sure dogs were kept outside. but i honestly can't remember more than the tidbits. ANYWAY. point is, *i recently started learning about these guys and just about everything makes me love them even more - grumbles and singing included.* (obviously the shedding is a massive.... uh... upkeep. tough. and the exercise requirements. but let's say more like attributes and personality. i think it's hilarious that they are cat-like. i'm not actually a dog person at all. and the handful of breeds i'm kinda interested in, more often than not have the cat-like attribute. many also have the 'don't smell too much'. there's a TRIO OF HUSKIES, don't remember the channel name but tikanni the screamer is my fav. he's hilarious. and i love hearing all the sass, backtalk, singing, and that there is only rare barking. the repetitive sound of a bark is pretty tough for me. can be like icepicks. if it's noise that varies, it hits diff. i seriously play their clips to get a little boost, a little bright spot. been wishing i could hear your husko's voices on the regular, in all their sassy glory. or groomer footage if you ever take them in. even if it was a second channel (#helasings or #therealbrittneyspears or something hahahahaa) TLDR; thank you so much for capturing some of your huskies noises on film at long last :)

I absolutely love huskeys. We had 2 . One black and white looks alot like yours, except Cuda male had a wider white that went down in his forehead. He was so cool and talked alit and did all kinds kinds of things. And made me laugh all the time. He died over a year ago of cancer. They opened him up . But closed him back up cause cancer so bad. He lived another 2 months. I loved him so much like my own kid! Have another Mia female , red and white long hair. She's beautiful and we rescued her. I love her alot. But she hardly will talk and is purbread. But doesn't do what Cuda did. But a very kind disposition. And listens good. She is great company for me! Denise , medina, Ohio. Also lloves the Snow! Great video had 2 Sheppards now just got a rescue huskie from Texas. Now in the north east. NH. Has not talked at all yet. In fact not even bark . Not sure how he sounds.lol only had him for 2 days so still trying to get Blue a routine. Made a mistake in the house a couple of times but that is just adjusting to his new home . Well start the training and go from there. Your girl looks alot like our huskie Blue. We love him to pieces. They do sleep funny Blue makes me laugh. PS: This is a update Blue still doesn't talk or bark that much. Probably barks once every couple of weeks.lol we have had him for going on a little over 2 months now. Still waiting . Lol What do you have for a fence. Our backyard isn't as big as yours but decent size to run. So planing on putting one up.

IF they have energy to burn??? They are pure energy every day until about 8 years old. I had a Husky years ago. When he played with other dogs they would get tired and lay down. He'd put his head against their back and push them around like a snow plow. I'd have to put him outside for a while to give the other dog time to rest and catch their breath. Also, in the spring he'd find one last pile of snow in the backyard and lay on it for hours. In the right circumstances they are a great breed to own.

I think my husky bug must be a different dog in a husky suit because he doesn’t do most of the things huskies are know for. He does spin though especially when it‘s dinner time. He only talks when you encourage him.

@@nightnurse7777 Yes he is. He always does it by the back door, where we normally let him out to go. I know he can hold it, he just seems to do it out of spite for us being asleep or at work.

@daletimmothy Yes, they don't like being alone, ignored, or bored. I am fortunate my husband is retired, and I only work 3 days a week. Lots of toys at home, dog park visits, and doggie daycare 1 or 2 days a week help with boredom. Some use calming treats at bedtime. A bored or ignored husky is a bad husky. She peed in his bed once.

Happy New Year. I am wondering if I could get some advice from you. To make a long story short. What is a good way to help a beautiful Husky adjust to going back and forth between two properties. No I am not getting a divorce. I took care of the lovely lady for 17 months while owner wad doing basic training for the airforce. I did ask to keep her as I had become very attached. He will be sent away for eight weeks at a time at least three times a year and I am worried about her becoming confused as to whom it is that owns her. I have just had her again for three weeks and I could see signs of this. I would really appreciate your advice. I am happy to leave my email address if you would like it.
