What I do is to keep a journal where I write my feelings and this way sometimes it feels like I am sharing with someone else. It does help me a lot and help me to come out of the shell.

I can really relate to the whole "wanting to speak to someone but then not doing it" thing. Sometimes I do not allow myself to be sad. Or angry. Because whenever I do speak up about it, I tend to apologise even more for being such a mess. I wish we wouldn't feel so pressured to being happy. Yes, other people have it so much worse, but that doesn't mean that we are not allowed to feel unhappy. I am hoping to learn how to accept my feelings and not let them control my entire life anymore. Thank you for uploading this video and encouraging people to face their issues and find happiness :)

I think you should do some kind of a relaxation podcast, because your calm voice helps me calm down and what you say shows that you know what you are talking about and not some kind of therapist talk from people you feel like they can't understand you and who use med talk. Thank you so much for this video, today is one of the worse days for me and this really helped.

A lot of people have already said this, but I have to reiterate that it really has come just at the right time. I’ve been crippled with anxiety for a while but today has been really awful. Thank you for another great video. The last thing I want to do is go to the gym, but I am trying to do some Yoga at home. Xxx

Thank you for making this video. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I need to do these things too, and bottling every stress or worry up inside isn’t a good thing. Started doing classes at the local gym last week and I’m already feeling the benefits and wanting to go back for more. Like you, I also find it very hard to talk to people about my stresses and worries, even when I know I should and that it will make me feel better. I thought it was easier just to ignore them and try and get over it myself, but no! Talking to someone is so much better and clears the mind. I definitely need to work on my breathing more though...I think that will help too! Thanks again 😊 x

Whenever I feel stressful I like to meditate. In helps to focus on my breathing and let go some of the problems. Also really helps just to go out for a walk. To listen all the sound that is around you and to have that time to be on your own.

One thing that really helps me when I'm stressed out is to take some time off of everything and just use it for myself. I go to my bedroom, watch some youtube whilst I pumper myself and then I switch off all of my eletronics and start reading my favorite book at the moment. It's the best thing to make me relax because I forget about everything else.

I think there is so much power in being surrounded by really good people, true friends and family and partners that you can open up to and be honest. Just someone listening is so good, even if they say nothing, quite often you end up giving the answers to yourself. Joe looks such a lovely guy who would listen and give you a big hug, which is a lovely feeling. Healthy diet, foods that contain magnesium (which most of us are deficient in) and B vitamins (a handful of nuts are so good for an instant lift) Lovely video Niomi, we're all human and being honest and open is always the best therapy.x😄

Perfect timing! I've been really stressed lately because of school and what not. When you talked about the emotions part, I could relate so much with what you said. Running honestly works wonders. I recently took a two week break from running every day consistently and have felt so much more anxious and stressed and overall just unfit and unmotivated. There is just something cathartic about being outside and pouring whatever you're feeling into something physical.

I love this video. I think something people often forget about stress is that is shouldn't be our normal state of mind-- we all deserve to feel on top of things and have good mental health. And I completely agree with your point about facing the stress, processing it and working through it and feeling it in your body rather than trying to ignore it. Thank you for this--love you as always.
@whoami.24601

this really came at a weirdly perfect time for me. I'm really struggling right now. Stress that has a very specific case like work being super busy is easier to deal with for me. When something like that happens, I make sure to set aside time to do things I like and that usually calms me down and re-charges me enough to get through it. But right now I'm int his situation where the stress I feel is from a long period of underlying crap and I've gotten to a point where everything feels off and I can't stop overthinking. So, idk, long story not so short, I needed this.

This was really helpful. Simply watching this video made me feel better. I suffer from daily stress and I work every day to find ways to get rid of it. As you said, exercising is really one of the best thing to do, as it immediately makes you feel better and proud. I also like to mention yoga which has helped me a lot over the past months. Even if it can be considered as exercising, it has its own role in stress relief. Finally, I also like writing my thoughts, or making lists of the things that make me feel sad. Then, for every single thing I wrote , I try to find something that makes me happy. For instance, if I haven’t done something important and this stresses me, I’ll just write “yes but you’ve done instead”. This is really helpful as you analyse what is wrong and what you can do to make it better.Hope this has helped you :)

I don't think comfort eating is always a bad thing. You should never rely on junk food to make you feel better, but sometimes you just need a pizza, and that's exactly what will make you feel better. And that's ok! Food should never make you feel regretful or guilty.
@philippawood5047
@philippawood5047 6 жыл бұрын
Chloë Blackwell I agree completely but I do think it's important to recognise that if you consistently "eat your feelings" it could be the sign of a bigger issue. I definitely agree about enjoying comfort food though - for me every meal is comfort food, I love food so much that I try to put time and attention into even just a little snack as a way to practice self-love. 😘

Another thing that helps me a lot is to meditate and you are actually the person that got me into it! It is just really amazing to seat back and be present in the moment, let all those thoughts flow out of your head even if just for a few minutes. My favourite meditation app is Headspace and there are some SOS meditations that are really helpful in those moments when you feel just so stressed and anxious. Thanks for the tips Nimbob!
