My wife and I adopted a four year old Maine Coon girl we rescued from a local shelter, Her name is "Angel" ans she is one of the sweetest, most intelligent, most empathic and compassionate beings we've ever met. She's a great family member and a real blessing ... we don't know how we ever got along without her.

shimmering white female, she is still quite young at 7 months. Laying across my desk as i type this. Just looking at her natural beauty , elegance and majestic demeanor makes me grin from ear to ear every time. I have wanted a maine coon since my teenage years, but it is only now, in my mid 50's that I have one. It was worth the wait. If you love cats and are dedicated to putting time into a relationship with one, it borders or exceeds the loyalty and love usually reserved for dogs.

We were fortunate enough to own 2 of these beauties for almost 20 years. Both rescues different lineage. Our Moe was 4 years old and come from a home where he was neglected and somewhat abused by a female. She must have hit him on top of his head because he wouldn't let me touch him for almost 2 years. He took to my husband immediately. I treated him with patience & tenderness & he eventually came around. He was the sweetest cat. I told him we would love him and let him be himself & let his "Moe-ness" come out. Our other cat was found in a restaurant parking lot. We had him 20 years as well. We sure do miss our Buds.

……in my experience was very fast and easy….when he ask me to help hem, I was talking to hem in my language ….not English….and he learn very fast….he trust me very fast and we was together for 15 years in mutual love, he always be in my heart…..

I’m looking at getting a Maine coon but Live in a tropical climate on the east coast of Australia just looking for advice when it comes to helping my cat during the summer I know plenty of water is a must but is there anything else to consider

We have a 6 month old male maincoon. We adopted him at 3 months. In the beginning he loved both of us to hold & pet him, but now he only allows my husband to do so. I play with him, give him treats, but when I try to hold him he wiggles free. I feel kind of bad about that. I’ll keep trying. That's OK.. He'll go through phases... The important thing is that he gets used to being picked up..

Mines name is Tony Stark and he hates most toys and loves puzzles! Loves the laser pen but meows non stop! And I can't figure out what to do?!? I love him but him meowing all night puts a damper on our relationship!!
