I cruise a lot. So I have picked up a lot of tips. All of these I have used. one that I have done is become, friends with the bar tender. They usually give free drinks to you. plus if you hangout at the bar a lot ur crew will be around and u can make convosations easly. I have become friends with a lot of crew and i still talk to them. It helps to have an outgoing personality for this tip.

Yes! I've also noticed it helps to go back to the same bartender for every drink. Even if they don't end up giving you a free drink, they might make them stronger, and also, it's just nice for them to have people to talk to and not feel like they are just there to serve random strangers.

On Carnival, One way to get free drinks (sorta) is get enough points in in the casino playing the slots, you earn a card to 'Drinks on Us' while you play. It is not advertised on the ship though. You need to ask about it and sometimes it may not be available.

I use rum runners, I put one in my bag and one in my boyfriend's bag it worked perfectly. And remember to tip your luggage guy outside the ship, if you tip him nicely your bags will go fast and first to your door. I got faster to the fun package it is like $54 dollars extra, they have to put your bag by the door first before anyone else who did not pay the package. Most time they are so bent on having your luggage by the door they do not check closely, they check for weapons only.

The only drinks that are worth the effort are the loyalty club and the Art auction. But you forgot to mention the concierge club on some ships that have a happy hour. You can also get a discounted drink at happy hour in some bars on the ship. the problem is that you are limited to the mixed drink of the day.

I began traveling when you had a destination. First trip: port of NYC to Paris via le Havre. Subsequently, several (English) Channel crossings. Then a trip to India. Depart from Plymouth, England, through the Straits of Gibraltar into and across the Mediterranean Sea. Through the Suez Canal, into the Red Sea. Port of Aden, through the Indian Ocean to land at Bombay, India. Overland travel after that. Until return. Rameswaram, India to Colombo, Ceylon. From there reverse the itinerary...to land at Marseilles. Then across the Atlantic to NYC. Outbound from England by sea to Bombay...sailed for three weeks. Parenthetically, the word "posh" was originally an acronym for "port, out(bound), starboard, home". Cabin locations were better that way.

There is also perks like the "Drinks On Us" card offered by Carnival to guests after they have gambled a certain dollar amount on the cruise. I've never gotten it, but I know several who have.

You can easily get alcohol into your room, if you're willing to be sneaky. We bought a bottle at each duty free and had all kinds of alcohol in our cabin. Our bar tab was zero and we drank everyday.

Way number 6. Make friends with a frequent cruiser who has 'high loyalty status' i.e.. Diamond or Elite etc on Princess Lines. These passengers get complimentary mini bar stocked daily and also get invited to exclusive events with a plus one with drinks provided... I know this as it has worked for me.

I stumbled upon your videos, very interesting and my hubby and I got free champaign when we went to a dancing party getting invited to the private vip area, was so cool plus getting a a medal as a souvenir. I also got it for being a past cruiser. I learned that some cruise lines might allow you to bring your own say soda or bottle of champiagn or wine, not sure about beer. This is something to check in with the cruise line itself. Also by booking honeymoon packages with cruises or non cruise say like you are booking an all inclusive to mexico which we did puerta vallerta for our honeymoon five years go this year will mark for us and we got free tequilla and champiagn aside from chocolates and strawberries.

A few drinking pro tips that may not be"free" or ship specific but are ways to stretch drinking budget. If you're a beer drinker 🍺 if you can learn to like"regular" instead of"light" or "ultralight" it has quite a bit more alcohol and is generally the same price.domestic Regular is often 6ish%alcohol, light is often 4ish %, ultralight is often around 3% alcohol, so a regular is about 1 and a half lights and 2 ultralights. If you're a liquor drinker if there's a brand that's like 90 or 100 proof or more that's the same price as a 80 proof brand you get that's definitely more alcohol for your buck. If you find a cocktail you like that has an alcoholic mixer like blue Curacao, triplesec, vermouth, etc that mixer is going to give it more kick than a cocktail with a non alcoholic mixer and usually don't cost more unless there's a happy hour special that doesn't include cocktails with alcoholic mixers.

Can't wait till my next cruise in September and I will be at that Royal Caribbean welcome back party! Hey, I have an entire room of art from the auctions! It might be a rip-off but who cares! It is fun and I actually have a room dedicated to my art and they are lovely reminders of a very fun time! I also get a very nice champagne buzz from enjoying art!

Iv'e never attended the welcome back party. We are going on a 4 day next month and don't plan on buying the drink package this time. I love to get drunk so I am going to look for that..lol..I would love to travel with you. BTW, have you gone to Thailand? We are going there and taking a small cruise to the different areas while there.

I went to the art auction to get the free champagne. If you don’t plan on purchasing art, sit in the back so you can escape. I had never been to an auction before and thought it was interesting, but next time I would sit in the back.

If you gamble enough on Carnival then they attach another cars to your room key and you can drink for free when you play. But you have to be a consistent gambler for this.

It's 57 for the premium drink package and 67 for the Ultimate drink package and it is definitely per day!!!! YOU WILL NEVER PAY JUST 50 for any drink package on a cruise!!

I'm going to my first cruise, Norwegian Bliss to Alaska this year. I'm not looking for alcohol drink, just looking for water. I can't bring water but has to buy water bottle package or soda package. I wonder what kind of drink provided on the cruise ship until I have to buy drink package? Food is complimentary, wonder why drink is not ??

we saw that people have snuck booze on in disguises lik mouthwash bottles. i think i would pay extra 100 a day for drinkinking but ncl is offereing free drink packages for 5 day cruise or more
