So glad kian made a video on the fear and anxiety of the virus I totally felt that way the first two days after school closures and then work closures. I pray for all the doctors and nurses to be safe during this time and I pray God gives them the strength to handle the people infected. 🙏🏾

Excellent content, friend! The only animal the Lord did not create is a PACK SHEEP. He made pack goats, mules, yaks, water buffalo, camels, etc. to tote heavy loads, But not us sheep. We are way too delicate.....we get lost, and break easily :) we simply were not made to carry the weight that we try to put on our backs. Christ died to lift those burdens so we could walk upright and not be crushed. I pray the Lord continues to bless you in your ministry as you encourage others.

I actually have never fasted. God hadn’t put it on my heart, I think because I struggled with binge eating disorder and He knew it wasn’t the right time. Fasting is something I definitely want to step into!

Hey girl, fasting just means giving up food or something that we love and enjoy\is a basic need...but its different when we try to do something like intermittent fasting to lose weight and limit calories (which should be done in a healthy way to maintain calorie needs) vs doing it for the Lord. Its important when we fast for God, not to just give up the food, snack, dessert, movies, social media or whatever we are fasting, but to spend the time that we would be eating or in entertainment, in prayer and reading the Word instead. Fasting often has a focus, like praying for someone or about a decision we have to make. It helps us focus on God and remember how much we depend on Him❤️

Hi Kian (and anyone else reading this!), I was just wondering what your christian denomination is or if you're non-denominational. I myself am a catholic (also a christian although some people aren't aware of that it seems). Our masses (services) and our overall theology is very heavily based on tradition. even more so than the Bible. although this is the case, a recent study has shown that the catholic mass is approximately constructed of 30% of scripture where a protestant service only consists of 3% but then they also have in depth bible studies on top of that where catholics typically don't. so basically what I'm saying is that the tradition that we value so much is constructed from the Bible. Catholics and protestants have very very very similar beliefs, we just have a few things in which we disagree about. First, Catholics belief that the communion truly turns into the body and blood of christ, where protestants don't take the scripture literally and see it as a symbolic reference. secondly, we have an affiliation with Mary and the saints. I know I've had plenty of christian friends ask me, why do Catholics worship Mary? and the answer is we don't. we simply see Mary and all the saints as godly examples and we ask them to pray for us, much like you could ask a friend to pray for you in times of need. we just take that extra step to ask those who we know for certain lead lives that we should look up to. basically I want to live in the same way that you did, please pray for to help me get there. a third difference is our thoughts on salvation. protestants believe that if you truly have faith that is enough to get you to heaven. Catholics however, believe that you need to take that faith and use it for good works in order to reach heaven. this part confused me honestly because I'm not sure how you could truly have faith in your heart but fail to act on it. It just seems like the two beliefs are equivalent if you look at it differently. now, because of these few differences our bibles look a bit different regarding our old testaments. there are few books that the protestants removed when splitting away from the Catholic Church in Martin Luther's time. This is extremely controversial. In a way I understand it because no one wants to think their faith is "wrong" but on the other hand I just view it as the protestants tailoring the Bible to fit their new way of faith. with all of this said, this is all of the information is what I have been taught over the years. Theres a very strong chance that I've interpreted it wrong since I am only just 17 and this comment is contracted of knowledge that I've learned over the course of my life, so please bear with me if I am incorrect. I am not trying to be ignorant. In fact I'm trying to learn more. I've really been struggling with the strict tradition of Catholicism. My Protestant friends seem to have a way stronger connection to God, but on the other hand they don't live lives of christian example. all of the you tubers I follow new all protestants and truly have such a string faith that it radiates to me when I watch their videos. I just don't get that from catholics online. I know this is is a terrible way for me to judge since its probably due to the fact that Catholicism is kind of old school, and youtube, well... isn't (again not trying to be ignorant or make assumptions, maybe I just haven't found a great catholic youtuber yet, who knows. the main thing that really get to me Is the fact that protestants know the Bible so well. they can name so many verses and people and rattle off stories like no bodies business. Most catholics I know cannot. Our masses are made up of a three year cycle. If I were to go to mass every single day for 3 years I would have heard every story in the Bible. I personally I find this really cool, I do, but logistically it isn't that beneficial for me. I am a high school junior, I can't make it to church everyday. I just can't swing that with my schedule. and going to church every Sunday leave me knowing like 14% of the Bible. the other problem is that I am not an auditory learner. I know I struggle with that a lot. so I am definitely getting a lot less out of word that is being read to be. I want to know the lord so much and I want to know and live by his word. and I really want to get into bible study. I know this is a more protestant act (although it is becoming way more popular among Catholics) but I fell like God is calling me to do it anyway. This revelation just makes me question the rest of my faith because of the fact of the tradition I am accustomed to. I truly don't want to change what I believe in I just wish I could worship in a less traditional way and still be able to attend mass. but as we all know there is no such thing as a nontraditional Catholic. I don't know if its just me seeing all of my protestant friends having a stronger relationship with God or if its just the emotion behind knowing that so many christians are Anti-Catholic (which is gut wrenching to be, but a whole other topic). I know I'm only 17 and I have time to figure it out, I just want to start living more intentionally and I feel like I can't do that without of this deep thought weighing on my heart. the whole reason I'm leaving this comment on your video (which I loved btw) is so I can't ask you to pray for me as I go on this journey and figure out whats best for me. also if you have any advice id be beyond happy to hear it. I am sorry for writing a novel but my heart truly feels happier already after doing so. thank you for your time, have a blessed day!

Hello, I just want to encourage you to seek a relationship with Jesus. I believe you love Jesus, so really get to know him, his heart, his wisdom will blow your mind. 😊 I am being as truthful as I can here, but the Bible has all your answers my dear young lady. I’m so proud of you for wanting to know the truth and you will find it! Research about what Jesus says about traditions in the Bible. How he refers to his mother Mary. Yes he loves his mother, but he would never want you to pray through Her, when you can just say hey Jesus what’s up? The Bible is his “word” it is how he speaks to us, directly to your heart! We should not put anyone living or dead between us and Jesus.... or what would be the point of him dying for us and living among us ? ......he is our example, he wants you as his daughter ❤️. Also research in the Bible about saints..... all believers of Christ are considered Saints in his eyes. There are no saints that we should hold up any higher then others and for sure no saints ( we can pray for each other of course ) between you and Jesus. I was brought up as a Catholic so I understand about all the traditions. The Old Testament is filled with them... but when Jesus came (the New Testament) he is not a fan of traditions....why is that? If you think about it, traditions can become idols a stronghold. Mary can become an idol too. I’m so thankful God choose Mary the Virgin to be Jesus’s biological/earthly mom, but she is just that ☺️. Have you heard of the “Bible project” ( find it on You Tube) I think that would help you understand visually the Bible. But I encourage you more to study the Bible (Nondenominational )Remember God wants you to be saved through his son Jesus.... you and only you can make that decision, that is when you can be baptized, Kian made a decision to follow Christ, to do her best to live as Christ wants her to live (she is my daughter) and then she was baptized! Study out Baptism 😌. In the Catholic Church they baptize Babies ( I was baptized as a baby) but babies are innocent in Jesus eyes, and they can not make a decision to follow Jesus, but they can when they grow up as you can too! I hope this makes you think and continue to seek the truth about God and why did he send Jesus? Just wanted to share a few scripture with you. Matthew 7:7 from NIV Jeremiah 29:13. From NIV. I wish for you a life of Joy, peace and truth!
