Another underrated tip for making clothes last: Don't wash them if they're not dirty. If they don't smell bad and don't have a stain on them, don't wash them yet. The washing machine is really harsh on clothes so they won't last as long. Handwashing is another good option, though more time-consuming. Oh! And wear under-layers like a shift-dress or an under-skirt. Not shapewear but just something to separate the clothing from the skin. This will make sure sweat and other stuff won't touch your clothes and they'll stay clean/neat for longer *^-^*

Good!! I don’t wash anything until a) it stinks, or b) I spill something on it!! And I used to hang dry but my HOA has restrictions against line drying stuff outside.

This is a great and much-needed video, especially in the Kawaii community. Kawaii often inspires over-consumption. So it’s nice to hear someone on social media speak of paring down. I love Kawaii fashion, especially the colors and some of the characters. I just want to enjoy it sustainably.

The thrift stores with the potentially upcycling clothes has bugs hiding... went to two of them last week and saw flees or bed bugs... could depop and online thrift stores work?

I’m sorry your local stores aren’t doing proper quality control :/ I’m pretty lucky so far since all my local stores wash everything before selling it and have pretty good quality control. You could try online but it will be much more expensive to start with, and you also have shipping. Perhaps visit some stores in some neighboring towns?
