legit hustlin. ...the ongoing evolution of a DJ being a music curator and party facilitator to becoming a remote worker

I think it's important to mention that making money on Twitch, whilst possible, is more than what you're listing here. In order to get monetized (affiliated), you must first meet a threshold, having 50 followers, stream for 8 hours on 7 different days in a 30 day period and have an average viewcount of 3. Unless you are already established, this ends up being a big hurdle. Also, the DJ you used as an example is a Twitch Partner and has been streaming for years with an established fanbase (19.5k followers at the time I'm writing). I don't think comparing his Twitch earnings to new starters is fair. Yes you can make that kind of bank, but it take years and years unless you're already majorly established. Good video! I just feel that some important information has been omitted.

I think it all depends on the Mindset someone have to go on Twitch and it’s the same for KZbin or other social media. Things takes time and going this route, thinking it will be easy and fast is a big mistake. And it does not only depends on the quality of the content, because we all know KZbin channels that have 20 videos with super quality content and only few hundreds subscribers. How many times, we search for particular content and one day, this channel pops up and we wonder why it did not show on search results as it’s the more close to what we were looking… If I would start a Twitch channel, TikTok or something else and I don’t 100% handle it and plan to gain revenues from that at some point, I would hire a real good specialist and invest into its services and put marketing budget on the table if numbers show that the ROI pay.

I'm unsure whether you're just adding to my point or whether I've been misunderstood, apologies if it's the former! I totally agree with you, I'm merely pointing out that the way the info is presented and the omission of important info means this video might be taken as something that could be immediate, when there's some pretty major info that's being missed.

@ Unfortunately, there are many KZbinrs, not taking into account the reality of 2024 world when it comes to marketing and communication on social medias and/or it’s on purpose to be in phase with the clickbait title of how much income DJ’s can make asides their main income which are gigs. I like to view such videos, more for the Mindset, but getting a tip from here and another from there, will add datas in the brain, to get better insights on the big picture :-) Because, anyway, 99,9% of viewers watching the video, that thought about going on Twitch won’t do it, because they would have do it yet :-) Most people have no clue on the big marketing budgets invested by some artists or their management. This is a business. And not talking about the fake onlyfans DJ’s we see on social medias, with fake likes ten thousands of fake followers. It’s funny, because I’ve been part of the underground game back to 15 years ago. I’ve had a booking agency and took care of real big names artists, until I quit because the electronic scene was already becoming a circus and now, it’s just pathetic. Whatever, I say that because before it was getting obvious some posts are so fake, I used to see dj’s that at least, made their best to look real and I was thinking « who are these artists ? I’ve never ever heard about them and they seems so famous… I am really getting that old and out of the game ? ». But not at all, these people comes from nowhere and will disappear in nowhere’s land… We live in a really bullshit period

reaching affiliate is very easy, if you take part in the easily joinable organised raid trains
@CorruptEyes19 күн бұрын
Affiliate is easy af, it's actually making money there after, especially in the dj field, cos after covid hit everyone and their mother is a dj. And good luck getting views when all the viewers are sitting in a pretty face' stream where she doesn't have to know how to mix...

You know what bruv, thank you. I’m going to try all of these. For 3 months starting Jan I’m going to put in legit effort and see how balancing all that plus producing plus gigging plus my day job works out. I’ll report back my progress in April 🔥

I’m curious, wouldn’t there be copyright issues from selling bootlegs / remixes in Bandcamp?
@Battousai_12 күн бұрын
No because you label them as free but people can donate

you are using established DJ whom mostly benefitted from luck of timing... many of them didnt even plan or pursue venues to reach this status. im sorry but these ideas shared on this vid are out of touch with reality

when you mention that for Twitch you need to make sure you have music licensed for streaming what do you mean? Can you explain better? Tracks that have been purchased regularly on portals such as Beatport or iTunes aren't enough?

How many you take for mixing in a bar for a beginner ?

calculations are all wrong - not included taxes, costs and platform fees... no word on copyright when you sell COPYRIGHTED "unofficial" remixes, terrible video - very misleading

Thank you so much for this amazing video! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?

this is all great idea but overrated... for example, you are failing to mention new DJs may never see a single pay becayse building on twitch will take ages.. mixcloud isnt really used by average person but rather mostly other djs

My ddj400 is not downloading songs from my Playlist into the CUE ( help)
@nickbrown966420 күн бұрын
Are you using beatport for your tracks? If so I occasionally have the same issue. I'm going to try removing the songs that won't download from the playlist within beatport and then add them again, hopefully that works. Also it's worth noting that some songs that are released on Spotify etc aren't always released for download on beatport until a few weeks later. If you click on a track in beatport it will show you the release date in the info just below the cover art. It will usually have an orange "pre-order" sticker on it aswell. I hope this helps in some way... Beatport can be temperamental at times 😢
