Wonderful video and presentation! Attempting to teach the proper use of the right type of chart for the job is a difficult task. The idea of a chart telling a story is excellent. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've received 3D Pie charts with 20 or more data points. And then there's my favorite misused chart--and you missed this one--the radar chart. Thanks for the great video.

Thanks Stephanie! Haha, good eye! I have a very quiet ceiling fan. And the A/C might have kicked on while I was recording. Getting good audio is the most difficult part of video recording for me, so I'm happy to hear the mic isn't picking up too much background noise. 🙂

Hi I am new to dashboards I hope you can help. I am creating charts in excel from survey data. After lining up the charts into my dashboard I usually put a square shape over each chart with 90% transparency. It gives it a nice look. Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the shapes to either be the same size and when I use the align features it seems to work but then I see two or three shapes underneath. I can’t seem to get the chart and shape to be connected.
